Team Info

tigerscores365 TSV 1860 München is one of Germany's most traditional and famous clubs, currently competing in the 3. Liga after a long and turbulent period. Based in Munich, the club shares the historic Grünwalder Stadion with rivals Bayern Munich's reserve team, though they aspire to return to the larger Allianz Arena. Founded in 1860, the club is nicknamed "Die Löwen" (The Lions) and wears blue and white. The club's history includes a German championship in 1966 and a long stint as a Bundesliga side, often in the shadow of their more successful city rivals. The early 2000s marked a competitive peak, with a Champions League appearance and a strong squad. However, financial mismanagement led to a dramatic fall, including relegation to the fourth division. The modern era is a story of a slow and determined rebuild under new, stable ownership, with the goal of returning to the 2. Bundesliga. The club retains a massive and fiercely loyal fan base, creating an incredible atmosphere that belies their third-tier status. TSV 1860 München is a sleeping giant with a glorious history, slowly awakening.
