The senior side sits at the heart of the club’s female pathway, combining local identity with the ambition to compete and develop players for higher levels of Polish women’s football.

For a club with deep community roots, the women’s first team is a statement of intent. It gives local players a visible destination, gives supporters a team to follow and gives the club a platform to build its reputation in the regional and national game.

A club with community roots

Polonia Środa Wielkopolska is a name familiar to football followers in Greater Poland. The women’s team carries that identity into every fixture, supported by a local network of families, volunteers and youth coaches. That community connection matters. It helps with recruitment, creates a supportive matchday atmosphere and keeps the club grounded in the town it represents.

The senior women’s side is the most visible part of the female setup, but it is supported by a wider structure that includes younger teams and a reserve side. Together, they form a pathway from first touch to senior football.

Competition and ambitions

The team’s goals are clear: perform consistently in the league, build a competitive squad and push players toward higher levels. Every season brings a different challenge, whether it is integrating new players, managing injuries or adapting to the demands of a long campaign.

The club’s ambition is not only about results. It is about creating a women’s football culture in Środa Wielkopolska that lasts. That means investing in coaching, giving young players opportunities and making the first team a source of pride for the town.

The first team and the B team

The relationship between the senior side and Polonia Środa Wielkopolska B (W) is central to the club’s model. The B team gives young players a place to develop, while the first team provides the target. When a reserve player is promoted, she steps into a familiar environment with team-mates and coaches she already knows.

That continuity helps the club avoid the disruption that can come when young players are thrown into senior football without preparation. The B team is the dress rehearsal; the first team is the performance.

Playing identity and matchday

Polonia Środa Wielkopolska (W) aims to be organised, hard-working and brave in possession. The team values local support and wants to give supporters a side that competes for every ball. For opponents, the fixture is rarely easy. The senior side has the experience to manage games and the hunger to keep improving. For the club, every home match is a chance to promote women’s football and inspire the next generation.

Outlook

The future of Polonia Środa Wielkopolska (W) depends on a healthy pipeline, strong coaching and continued local support. The first team will remain the flagship, but its success will be built on the work done below it. With a reserve side feeding talent upward and a community behind the badge, the club is well placed to keep growing in Polish women’s football.
