Match Overview

Competition: Spanish Primera Federación (Women)
Date: 10 October 2026, 17:30
Venue: Ciudad Deportiva de Elche
Final Score: Elche Women 1-1 Levante B Women

The draw keeps both teams in the middle reaches of the Primera Federación table, though each will feel they could have taken more from the game. Elche Women started the brighter and took the lead in the first half, but Levante B Women responded after the break with a well-worked equaliser. In the closing stages, both sides pushed for a winner, but resolute defending and some wayward finishing ensured the points were shared.

Key Moments

• 22' – Elche 1-0: A neat passing move ended with a composed finish from inside the penalty area.
• 63' – 1-1: Levante B equalised with a curling shot from the edge of the box after a corner was only partially cleared.
• 89' – Late chance: Elche's striker headed narrowly over from a cross, spurning a golden opportunity to win it.

Tactical Story

Elche Women lined up in a 4-4-2 and looked to use the flanks, with their full-backs overlapping frequently. That approach created the opener, as a cross from the right was converted at the near post. Levante B Women, playing a 4-2-3-1, struggled to contain Elche's width early on but gradually gained control by pressing higher and forcing turnovers. Their equaliser came from a set-piece, an area they had clearly targeted. In the final 20 minutes, Levante B sat deeper and looked to counter, while Elche brought on fresh attackers. The hosts had the better chances late on but lacked the finishing touch. Both coaches will take positives from the organisation shown, but will also rue missed opportunities to claim all three points.

Standout Players

Elche's left winger was a constant threat, beating her marker repeatedly and delivering dangerous crosses. The central midfielder dictated the tempo and was involved in most of her team's best moves. For Levante B Women, the goalscorer showed excellent technique with her curling effort, while the centre-back partnership was outstanding in the second half, winning numerous aerial duels. The Levante B goalkeeper also made a crucial save in the first half to keep the deficit to one goal, which proved vital in the context of the match.

Table and Season Impact

The draw leaves Elche Women in eighth place in the Primera Federación, while Levante B Women sit just one point behind in tenth. Both teams remain within touching distance of the promotion play-off spots, but they will need to turn draws into wins if they are to challenge the division's frontrunners. The result highlights the competitive nature of the Spanish women's second tier, where tactical discipline and set-piece efficiency often decide matches. Elche will look to improve their killer instinct in front of goal, while Levante B can take confidence from another solid away performance. The two sides will meet again later in the season, and on this evidence, that return fixture promises to be equally tight.
