Tactical story

Their wingers stayed high, stretching Cordoba's back line and creating space for midfield runners. Cordoba dominated possession for long spells but struggled to break down a well-organised block. When they did equalise, Huelva responded by increasing their pressing intensity and forcing turnovers higher up the pitch. That adjustment produced the late winner and underlined the visitors' game management.

Standout performers

Marina López was a constant threat for Huelva, scoring the opening goal and stretching the Cordoba defence throughout. Carla Romero's late winner capped a hard-working performance, while the Huelva goalkeeper made a crucial save at 1-1. For Cordoba, Alba García was the standout player, scoring the equaliser and linking play well in the final third, but her effort was not enough to earn a result.
