The home side dominated possession in the second half, and their patience paid off with Hoffmann's goal. Homburg's defence, which had been solid for much of the game, switched off for a moment and were punished. After taking the lead, Steinbach dropped deeper and defended resolutely, limiting Homburg to long-range efforts.

For Homburg, goalkeeper Jonas Weber kept his side in the game with several fine saves, but his teammates couldn't find an equaliser.

Table and Season Impact

With this win, TSV Steinbach Haiger climb to 5th place in the Regionalliga Südwest table, just three points off the promotion playoff spots. FC 08 Homburg remain in mid-table, now six points adrift of the top four. The result highlights Steinbach's ambitions for a top-four finish, while Homburg will need to improve their away form if they are to challenge for promotion.
