SV Drochtersen/Assel delivered a commanding away performance in the German Regionalliga, beating Bremer SV 3-0 on October 11, 2026.

The visitors scored in key moments, defended with authority, and never allowed Bremer SV to settle into any rhythm. It was a complete team performance: efficient in attack, disciplined without the ball, and ruthless enough to turn pressure into goals.

Bremer SV vs Drochtersen/Assel: match overview

Bremer SV started the match with energy, hoping to use home advantage to press Drochtersen/Assel high up the pitch. But the visitors absorbed that early pressure and struck first, a goal that immediately changed the complexion of the game. From that point on, Drochtersen/Assel controlled the tempo.

The second goal arrived before half-time, leaving Bremer SV with a difficult task. The home side tried to respond after the break, but Drochtersen/Assel’s defensive structure held firm. A third goal in the second half completed a convincing 3-0 victory.

• Opening goal: Drochtersen/Assel capitalised on a defensive lapse and finished calmly to take the lead.
• Second before the break: A well-executed attacking move doubled the advantage and gave the visitors breathing room.
• Second-half clincher: Bremer SV pushed players forward, and Drochtersen/Assel punished them with a third goal on the break.
• Clean sheet: The visitors defended their box brilliantly, limiting Bremer SV to few clear chances.

Tactical story: pressing, second balls, and control

Drochtersen/Assel won the midfield battle. They pressed Bremer SV’s ball carriers, won the majority of second balls, and quickly turned defence into attack. Their wide players stretched the pitch, creating space for the central midfielders to run into.

Bremer SV struggled to build through the middle. Too many of their attacks were hopeful long balls, which Drochtersen/Assel’s centre-backs dealt with comfortably. When the home side did get into wide areas, the final cross was often cleared or overhit.

Standout performers

Drochtersen/Assel’s attacking midfielder was at the heart of most good moves, linking play between midfield and attack. The centre-back pairing was dominant in the air, and the goalkeeper was alert when called upon, even though he was not overworked. For Bremer SV, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score from becoming even more one-sided.

Regionalliga table impact

This 3-0 win gives SV Drochtersen/Assel momentum in the German Regionalliga and improves their goal difference, which can be crucial in a tightly packed table. Bremer SV, meanwhile, will view this as a missed opportunity at home. The defeat leaves them needing to tighten up defensively and find more creativity in the final third.

Drochtersen/Assel’s away form will be a key factor in their season. If they can reproduce this level of organisation and finishing, they will be a difficult opponent for anyone in the Regionalliga.
