Style of play

The best versions of the team are unselfish on offense and active on defense, turning stops into transition opportunities. Collegiate women’s basketball rewards teams that communicate well and stay organized, especially in late-game situations.

The roster is likely to feature guards who control tempo and create for teammates, wings who can score in transition or from the perimeter, and interior players who battle on the glass. Development is a key theme: players are not only asked to produce now but also to expand their games over the course of the season. That makes Anahuac Sur Women an interesting team to track for individual growth as well as collective results.
