Defense Sets the Tone

Tec Mty’s defensive effort was the story of the night. Anahuac Sur was held to 34 points and never found a consistent offensive rhythm. The pressure on the ball disrupted entry passes, and the help defense rotated well enough to contest shots in the paint. Tec Mty also controlled the defensive glass, limiting second-chance opportunities and forcing Anahuac Sur into difficult perimeter attempts.

On offense, Tec Mty shared the ball effectively and attacked gaps in the defense. The team’s guards pushed the pace when opportunities appeared, while the frontcourt converted around the rim. That balance made it difficult for Anahuac Sur to key on any single scorer.

Standout Performers and Key Stats

Tec Mty Guadalajara placed multiple scorers in double figures and received meaningful production from its bench, a sign of the team’s depth. The guards controlled tempo and consistently found open teammates, while the interior players dominated the boards and protected the rim.

For Anahuac Sur, the leading scorers battled but lacked support. Turnovers and empty possessions prevented the team from building any momentum. The rebounding gap and Tec Mty’s fast-break advantage told the story of the game.

Standings Impact

In Mexico ABE League Women, a 42-point win can be valuable beyond the standings table because point differential often matters in tiebreaker scenarios. Tec Mty Guadalajara strengthens its position in the playoff race and sends a clear message about its form. Anahuac Sur, meanwhile, will focus on correcting defensive rotations and reducing turnovers before the next fixture.

What’s Next

Tec Mty Guadalajara will look to carry the momentum into its next outing, with the team’s defensive intensity and balanced attack providing a reliable formula. Anahuac Sur must find a way to generate cleaner looks and compete harder on the glass. The 76-34 result will be remembered as one of the most dominant performances of the Mexico ABE League Women season.
