• Set 1: LKS Lodz Women 25-22

Key moments

Lodz took the opening set with a composed finish, but Bielsko-Biala responded well in the second. The home side’s block began to create problems, and a strong run in the middle of the set helped level the match. That proved to be the high point for Bielsko-Biala, however.

The third set was the turning point. Lodz regained control through better serving and cleaner transition play, building a lead that the hosts could not erase. In the fourth, Lodz pulled away early and never let Bielsko-Biala back into the set, closing the match in convincing fashion.

Tactical story

Lodz’s ability to side-out consistently was the foundation of the win. The visitors kept their error count manageable and made Bielsko-Biala defend for longer stretches. Lodz also used its block effectively, forcing the home attackers into difficult angles and allowing the back-row defense to pick up more balls.

Bielsko-Biala’s best moments came when its serve disrupted Lodz’s reception and the block could set up. But the hosts struggled to sustain that pressure, especially in the fourth set. Too many free balls and unforced errors allowed Lodz to stay in system and control the tempo.

Standout performers

Lodz’s outside hitter was a consistent scoring threat, particularly in the third and fourth sets, while the setter managed the offense well under pressure. The middle blockers also contributed important points and defensive stops. For Bielsko-Biala, the opposite hitter and libero had strong moments, but the team needed more support around them in the closing sets.

Standings impact

The 3-1 win strengthens LKS Lodz Women’s position in the TAURON Liga Women standings and gives the team another important road result. Bielsko-Biala Women will be disappointed to lose after levelling the match, but the performance showed patches of quality. The hosts will need to improve their consistency in serve-receive and reduce errors in tight sets.
