Key moments

Lechia set the tone with an early service run in the first set, forcing Sparta into error-prone attacking. That burst broke Sparta’s resistance. In the third set, Lechia raced ahead and never allowed the visitors back into the contest.

Tactical story

The hosts’ serve-receive was stable throughout, giving their setter the freedom to use the middle and create one-on-one situations for the outside hitters. Lechia’s block also had a strong night, closing down Sparta’s favored angles and forcing them into rushed shots. Sparta tried to change the rhythm with substitutions and a more direct serving approach, but Lechia’s side-out game remained reliable. The clean sweep was built on low error counts and patient rally construction.

Standout players

Bartosz Kowalczyk led the Lechia attack with a consistent performance from the opposite position, and Michał Zieliński added important points from the wing. Middle blocker Kacper Nowak was a strong presence at the net, contributing both blocks and quick attacks. For Sparta Grodzisk, Tomasz Wójcik tried to keep the team competitive from the outside, while Paweł Krawczyk had moments of success in the middle.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Lechia Tomaszow Mazowiecki’s position in the TAURON I. Liga table and give them confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. For Sparta Grodzisk, the defeat highlights the need for greater consistency in serve-receive and more variety in attack. Lechia’s straight-set win is the kind of result that can build momentum over the course of a long season.
