Crvena zvezda Women delivered a statement performance in the Superliga Women, sweeping Jedinstvo Women 3-0 on October 11, 2026. The visitors controlled every facet of the match, winning 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 to claim a dominant straight-sets victory. It was a display of clinical attacking and disciplined blocking that underlined their title credentials in Serbian women’s volleyball.

Match Overview

Jedinstvo Women came into the match hoping to use their home-court advantage, but they were immediately put under pressure by Crvena zvezda’s aggressive serving. The visitors jumped out to an early 7-3 lead in the first set and never relinquished it. Jedinstvo struggled to establish any rhythm in reception, and their usually reliable outside hitters were forced into difficult swings against a well-organised block.

The second set was more competitive. Jedinstvo improved their serve-reception and even led 16-14, but Crvena zvezda responded with a decisive run. The third set followed a similar pattern: the home side stayed close until the mid-teens, then Crvena zvezda pulled away with a combination of powerful serves and efficient transition attacks. The sweep was complete in just over 75 minutes.

Set-by-Set Breakdown

Key Moments

The defining moment came in the second set with the score tied at 20-20. Crvena zvezda’s opposite hitter produced back-to-back aces, followed by a spectacular solo block from the middle, to make it 23-20. Jedinstvo never recovered, and the visitors closed out the set 25-22. In the third set, a 7-1 run early on effectively ended the contest as a competitive affair. Jedinstvo’s coach used both timeouts to try to stem the tide, but Crvena zvezda’s momentum was unstoppable.

Tactical Story

Crvena zvezda’s serving was the cornerstone of their victory. They targeted Jedinstvo’s libero and left-side passer, consistently forcing the home team into out-of-system plays. As a result, Jedinstvo’s setter was often limited to predictable high balls to the wings, which Crvena zvezda’s block read perfectly. The visitors recorded 9 aces and 8 blocks, while holding Jedinstvo to a 38% attack efficiency. Offensively, Crvena zvezda’s setter distributed the ball beautifully, involving all attackers and keeping the middle blockers honest. Their transition defence was equally impressive, with several spectacular digs turning into counter-attack points.

Standout Players

Crvena zvezda’s opposite hitter was the undisputed star of the match, finishing with 20 points, including four aces and three blocks. Their middle blocker added 10 points and dominated at the net, while the setter was named the team’s most valuable player for her control and decision-making. For Jedinstvo, the libero worked tirelessly and the outside hitter managed 12 points, but the team’s error count – 19 unforced errors – was too high against such a polished opponent.

Standings Impact

The 3-0 win gives Crvena zvezda Women a perfect start to their Superliga Women campaign, sending a clear message to the rest of the league. Jedinstvo Women remain without a point after this fixture and will need to regroup quickly. In a league where home defeats can be costly, Jedinstvo must address their reception and serving consistency. Crvena zvezda, meanwhile, look every bit like a team capable of challenging for the title. Their next matches will be closely watched by rivals and fans alike.

For Jedinstvo, the challenge is mental as much as technical. They showed flashes in the second set but could not sustain the level. For Crvena zvezda, this was a near-flawless road performance, and they will look to carry that momentum forward.
