Minchanka fought back to tie it at 10-10, but Yenisey’s block produced two crucial points down the stretch to seal the win.

Tactical story

Yenisey’s coach made key adjustments after the third set, switching the serving strategy to target Minchanka’s libero and disrupting their reception. The change paid dividends in the fourth and fifth sets, where Minchanka’s attack became less varied. Yenisey also improved their block positioning, neutralizing Minchanka’s opposite hitter in the deciding set.

Standout players

Yenisey’s outside hitter was the driving force, delivering crucial kills in the fourth and fifth sets and finishing as the match’s top scorer. Their setter also impressed with smart choices under pressure. Minchanka’s middle blocker had a strong game offensively, but the team’s serve-receive errors in the final set proved costly.

Table and season impact

The comeback win gives Yenisey Women valuable momentum in the Superleague Women standings and highlights their resilience in tight matches. Minchanka Women will be disappointed to let a 2-1 lead slip, but they showed enough quality to suggest they will be competitive in the coming fixtures.
