DSO Ternopil Cruise Past Burevisnyk in Straight Sets

DSO Ternopil delivered a dominant home performance in the Superleague on October 24, 2026, defeating Burevisnyk 3-0. The hosts controlled the match from the opening set and never allowed their opponents to settle into a consistent attacking rhythm.

The set scores read 25-16, 25-19 and 25-21, a line that reflected DSO Ternopil’s superiority in serving, blocking and transition play. It was a clean, professional victory that gave the home side maximum points and plenty of confidence.

Opening Set Sets the Tone

DSO Ternopil started with purpose, applying pressure from the service line and forcing Burevisnyk into uncomfortable first contacts. The home block read the visitors’ attack well, and the defensive system behind it cleaned up effectively. Ternopil built an early lead and closed the set comfortably at 25-16.

Burevisnyk improved in the second set, finding more success through their outside hitters and extending rallies. However, DSO Ternopil’s setter kept the attack balanced, and the hosts’ middle blockers created enough hesitation in the Burevisnyk defense to maintain control. Ternopil took the second 25-19.

Third-Set Finish and Tactical Control

The third set was the most competitive. Burevisnyk fought harder in reception and managed to stay within touching distance for much of the set. But DSO Ternopil’s composure in the closing points made the difference. A couple of strong serves and a well-timed block helped the hosts pull away late, sealing the match 25-21.

• Serving: DSO Ternopil consistently took Burevisnyk out of system.
• Blocking: The home side’s net defense limited Burevisnyk’s options in key moments.
• Balance: Ternopil spread the attack effectively, making it difficult for the visitors to commit to one blocker.
• Closing points: The hosts were sharper in the final phase of each set.

Season Impact

The 3-0 win is exactly the kind of result DSO Ternopil needed: maximum points, a short match and a strong defensive display. It also sends a message to the rest of the Superleague that Ternopil can dictate terms at home when their serve and block connect.

For Burevisnyk, the defeat highlights the importance of reception stability. The visitors showed flashes of quality in the third set, but they could not sustain enough pressure to truly threaten the home side. They will need a more consistent passing performance in their next outing.
