Mehregan Noor entertain Chadormalu on 28 October 2026 in a Super League fixture that sets a small-town volleyball project against one of the league's most ambitiously backed clubs. The match starts at 20:30 local time in Noor, Mazandaran, and for the home side it represents exactly the sort of occasion that defines a season: a chance to test themselves against a well-resourced opponent in front of their own supporters.

Match overview

Noor is a town on the Caspian side of Mazandaran with a strong sporting identity and a volleyball tradition that runs through its schools and clubs. Mehregan Noor's rise into the top flight has been built on local talent, disciplined coaching and a hall that visiting teams find uncomfortable — low ceilings for hitters who like a high arc, a compact court for teams that want to play fast.

Chadormalu come from Ardakan in Yazd province, backed by one of Iran's major industrial groups and assembled with clear intent. Their recruitment has focused on proven Super League performers, and their style leans towards physical, high-contact volleyball: heavy serves, a big block, and an attack that goes through the opposite hitter when sets get tight.

Where the match will be won

The defining contest here is power versus patience. Chadormalu will try to end rallies early with serve and block, shortening points and imposing their physical advantage. Mehregan Noor's best response is to extend rallies, defend the floor, and use the quick middle to keep the block honest. If the home side can push the first set past twenty points and stay in it, the visitors' power advantage starts to feel less decisive.

• Serve pressure: Chadormalu's jump serves against a home reception line that must hold.
• Transition play: Noor's ability to convert defensive touches into counter-attack points.
• End-game composure: the visitors' experience in closing sets out is a genuine asset.

Players to watch

Mehregan Noor's captain and outside hitter is the emotional centre of the team, the player the crowd responds to and the one asked to take the difficult swings. Their libero will be busy — Chadormalu's serving means plenty of scrambling. For the visitors, the middle blockers set the tone defensively, and the setter's decision-making under pressure will determine whether the away side's firepower is used efficiently or wasted in one-dimensional attacks.

What is at stake

For a club of Mehregan Noor's size, every home fixture against a heavyweight is an opportunity to build belief and points in equal measure. The Super League rewards teams that defend their own hall; dropping home matches early in the campaign creates a deficit that is hard to close later. Chadormalu, meanwhile, are chasing the kind of professional consistency expected of a club with their backing, and awkward away trips are exactly where those credentials are examined.

Atmosphere and occasion

Noor's hall will be close to capacity, and the crowd will be vocal from the warm-up onwards. Small-town venues in Mazandaran have a particular intensity — supporters who know the players, who follow every rotation, and who treat a visit from a major club as the fixture circled on the calendar. It is a genuinely difficult place for a visiting setter to settle in the opening set.

On the court, this comes down to whether Chadormalu's physical edge can overpower a disciplined, crowd-backed home side. The first serve is at 20:30.
