Imoco Volley Conegliano Women Win Super Cup Women 3-1 Against Scandicci Women

Imoco Volley Conegliano Women lifted the Super Cup Women trophy with a 3-1 victory over Scandicci Women on 25 October 2026, winning 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19. The Italian champions produced a composed display in the final, absorbing Scandicci’s best spell in the second set before reasserting their quality to close out the match.

The Super Cup Women is a significant early-season prize, and Conegliano’s success underlines their continued ability to deliver in one-off matches. Scandicci fought hard and showed why they remain one of the most dangerous sides in Italian volleyball, but they could not match Conegliano’s consistency across four sets.

Match Overview

Conegliano started the final with intent, serving aggressively and using their block to contain Scandicci’s outside attack. The first set was competitive, but Conegliano’s composure in the closing rallies earned them a 25-21 advantage.

Scandicci responded strongly in the second. Their serving improved, their defence began to frustrate Conegliano’s hitters, and they edged a tight set 25-22 to level the match. It was the only set Conegliano lost, but it served as a reminder of Scandicci’s quality.

The third set saw Conegliano restore their dominance. Their first-tempo attack became more effective, and their block began to score points as well as slow down Scandicci’s offence. A 25-18 scoreline put Conegliano back in front, and they carried that momentum into the fourth set, closing out the trophy with a 25-19 win.

Key Moments

• First-set finish: Conegliano won the decisive late rallies to take the opener 25-21.
• Scandicci’s second-set push: A stronger serve and defensive effort helped Scandicci level the match with a 25-22 win.
• Third-set block: Conegliano’s front line took control at the net, creating separation in a 25-18 set.
• Fourth-set authority: Conegliano kept their error count low and closed the match 25-19 to secure the Super Cup.

Tactical Story

Conegliano’s serving was the foundation of the win. They consistently targeted Scandicci’s reception lines, making it difficult for the opposition to involve the middle attack. That allowed Conegliano’s block to focus on the pins and forced Scandicci into more contested swings.

In transition, Conegliano’s setter managed the game intelligently, mixing the opposite hitter, outside hitters and middle attackers to keep Scandicci guessing. Scandicci’s best period came when they served with more risk in the second set, but they could not maintain that pressure. Conegliano’s floor defence also improved as the match progressed, extending rallies and turning defence into points.

Standout Performers

Conegliano’s opposite hitter delivered a strong attacking performance, particularly in the third and fourth sets, while the middle blockers made a major impact at the net. The libero was reliable in reception and produced several key defensive plays. Scandicci’s outside hitters carried much of the attacking load and kept the final competitive, but Conegliano had greater depth in the decisive moments.

What the Trophy Means

The Super Cup Women title adds another piece of silverware to Conegliano’s impressive collection and sets a positive tone for the rest of the season. For Scandicci, the defeat is a disappointment but also a useful benchmark. They competed for long stretches and will take confidence from their second-set response, even as Conegliano demonstrated the consistency that separates champions from contenders.
