Rzeszow Women produced a commanding 3-0 victory over Budowlani Lodz Women to win the Super Cup Women on 24 October 2026, controlling the final from start to finish. The Rzeszow side won 25-19, 25-21, 25-18, adding another piece of silverware to their collection with a disciplined and efficient performance.

Match overview

The Super Cup Women final pitted two of the most recognisable names in Polish volleyball against each other, but the contest was largely one-way. Rzeszow Women set the tone early with aggressive serving and a well-organised block, forcing Budowlani Lodz into difficult first-ball situations. The first set was secured 25-19, with Rzeszow’s outside hitters finding space and their middle blockers contributing timely points.

Budowlani Lodz improved in the second set, extending rallies and finding more success through the middle. However, Rzeszow’s composure in the closing points proved decisive. They edged the second set 25-21, then carried that momentum into the third. Budowlani struggled to contain Rzeszow’s varied attack, and the final set slipped away 25-18.

Key moments

• First set: Rzeszow’s serve and block established early control, and they took the opener 25-19.
• Second set: Budowlani Lodz stayed close for much of the set, but Rzeszow won the key transition rallies to take it 25-21.
• Third set: Rzeszow maintained their serving pressure and pulled away midway through, closing the match 25-18.

Tactical story

Rzeszow’s game plan was built on serve pressure and defensive discipline. By targeting Budowlani’s reception, they limited the variety of the opposition’s attack and made it easier for their block to commit. Rzeszow’s setter also used the middle effectively, keeping Budowlani’s blockers guessing and creating one-on-one situations for the outside hitters.

Budowlani’s best moments came when they were able to keep the ball in play and involve their middle attack, but those spells were too brief. Rzeszow’s ability to win the long rallies and their low error count in the decisive moments made them deserving winners.

Standout performers

Rzeszow’s opposite hitter was a constant threat, delivering important kills in all three sets and leading the scoring effort. Their libero also had an excellent final, stabilising reception and making several key defensive plays. For Budowlani Lodz, the middle blocker showed fight with blocks and quick attacks, while the setter worked hard to keep the offence organised under pressure.

Season impact

The Super Cup Women title gives Rzeszow Women an early-season trophy and a confidence boost ahead of the league campaign. For Budowlani Lodz Women, the final provides a clear benchmark: they competed in patches but were unable to match Rzeszow’s consistency in serving, blocking, and transition play.

Rzeszow will now look to carry this form into the regular season, while Budowlani will focus on improving their reception and closing out tight sets. The Super Cup may be a one-off final, but the performance underlined Rzeszow’s ability to deliver on the big stage.
