Radnicki lifted the Super Cup with a dominant 3-0 victory over Subotica on 17 October 2026. The final finished 25-20, 25-18, 25-22, as Radnicki controlled the match from the opening serve and never let Subotica settle into a consistent attacking rhythm. It was a trophy-winning performance built on serving pressure, organised blocking and clinical transition play.

Match overview

The Super Cup final promised a close contest between two well-known sides, but Radnicki quickly established the upper hand. The first set was competitive until the middle phase, when Radnicki’s serve and block created separation for a 25-20 win. The second set was more one-sided at 25-18, and although Subotica improved in the third, Radnicki’s composure in the closing rallies sealed the trophy at 25-22.

Key moments

• First set: Radnicki broke away at 15-14 and finished strongly for a 25-20 lead.
• Second set: A run of strong serves and two key blocks helped Radnicki take it 25-18.
• Third set: Subotica kept it close, but Radnicki’s terminal attacking in the final points closed out the match.

Tactical story

Radnicki’s game plan was clear: apply pressure from the service line and force Subotica into predictable first-ball attacks. That strategy worked especially well in the second set, when Subotica’s reception broke down and Radnicki’s middle blockers were able to commit early. Radnicki also defended the back court well, turning several defensive plays into transition points. Subotica tried to respond with a faster middle attack and more aggressive serving, but Radnicki’s side-out game remained stable under pressure.

Standout performers

Radnicki’s opposite hitter was the standout attacking force, delivering important points in all three sets. The team’s captain and setter managed the tempo well, while the middle blocker provided a strong presence at the net. Subotica’s libero and outside hitter showed moments of quality, particularly in the third set, but the team lacked the serving consistency to truly threaten Radnicki’s control. The trophy was a collective reward for Radnicki’s discipline.

Competition impact

Winning the Super Cup gives Radnicki an early-season trophy and a confidence boost ahead of the league campaign. For Subotica, the 0-3 defeat is a learning moment, especially in reception and block-defence organisation. The result will be remembered as a statement performance from Radnicki, who showed the kind of serving and blocking efficiency that wins knockout finals.
