Chieri '76 Women produced a composed road performance in Serie A1 Women, defeating Talmassons Women 3-0 on 25 October 2026. The straight-set result underlined Chieri’s control in serve-receive and their ability to convert transition chances under pressure, while Talmassons were left searching for consistency in front of their home support.

Match overview

Chieri took the opening set 25-20, doubled their advantage with a 25-22 second-set win, and closed the match 25-18. The visitors were the more stable side across the three sets, limiting Talmassons’ runs and keeping the home block under constant stress with varied attacking from the pins and a steady middle presence.

Talmassons stayed competitive in the early phases, particularly in the second set, but Chieri’s first-contact quality allowed them to play in system more often. That difference became decisive as the match wore on.

Key moments

• Chieri broke away midway through the first set with a short serving run and never surrendered the initiative.
• The second set was the closest of the night, but Chieri found the side-out they needed at 22-22 before closing it out.
• In the third set, Chieri’s block-defence connection created separation early, forcing Talmassons into rushed attacking choices.

Tactical story

The match was shaped by Chieri’s serving discipline. By targeting Talmassons’ reception lines and mixing pace with placement, the visitors prevented the home side from consistently running its preferred attack. Chieri’s block also improved as the match progressed, turning several long rallies into transition points.

Talmassons showed flashes of attacking quality, especially when their outside hitters found rhythm, but they were unable to sustain pressure across entire sets. Too many points ended with Chieri dictating the tempo and forcing Talmassons into predictable swings.

Standout performers

Chieri’s opposite hitter gave them a reliable scoring outlet in the big moments, while their libero helped stabilize the back-court defence. The middle blockers also made an impact with timely blocks and quick attacks that stretched Talmassons’ defence. For Talmassons, the libero was among the busiest players on the court, repeatedly keeping rallies alive, but the home side lacked the same level of terminal efficiency at the net.

Standings impact

The 0-3 defeat leaves Talmassons Women with work to do in the early Serie A1 Women standings, particularly in home matches where they will want to build momentum. For Chieri '76 Women, the clean sweep is a valuable road result that strengthens their position in the upper group of the early table and adds another confident performance to their season record.
