• Set 1: San Giovanni Women 25-18
• Set 2: San Giovanni Women 25-21
• Set 3: San Giovanni Women 25-19

Key Moments

The first set was decided by a mid-set run from San Giovanni, who turned a narrow lead into a comfortable advantage through a mix of blocks and transition kills. Macerata improved in the second set and stayed close early, but San Giovanni pulled away again with a late serving run and a few crucial defensive plays.

The third set followed a similar pattern. Macerata had brief moments of resistance, but San Giovanni’s sideout game remained stable and the home side closed the match without needing to face a serious late threat.

Tactical Story

San Giovanni’s serve pressure was the foundation of the win. By disrupting Macerata’s first contact, the home side limited the visitors’ attacking options and forced more predictable swings. San Giovanni’s setter used the middle effectively to keep the block guessing, while the back-row defense covered well around the block. Macerata showed flashes of quality, but too many out-of-system rallies went San Giovanni’s way.

Standout Performers

San Giovanni’s setter controlled the tempo and distributed the attack well, while the middle blocker made an impact at the net in both blocking and quick attacks. The outside hitter also delivered important points in transition. For Macerata, the libero worked hard to keep rallies alive, but the team could not consistently convert those defensive efforts into scoring chances.

Table and Season Impact

A 3-0 win is worth three points in Serie A1 Women, so the result gives San Giovanni Women a full return from the match and adds momentum to their league campaign.
