VGSK Veliko Gradiste started with real intent. The hosts were sharp in serve-receive, moved the ball quickly to their outside hitters and took advantage of a few early Partizan errors. The first set remained close throughout, and VGSK edged it 25-23 to spark hopes of an upset. But Partizan’s response was immediate and convincing.

Tactical Story and Standout Performers

Partizan’s comeback was built on the serve. After the first set, they targeted VGSK’s receivers more effectively and forced the hosts into more difficult first balls. That allowed Partizan’s middle blockers to read the setter and close the block. The visiting opposite hitter was a consistent outlet under pressure, while the setter managed the tempo well as the match progressed.

VGSK’s standout performer was their outside hitter, who carried much of the attacking load and produced several important points in the first and third sets. Their libero also made a number of good defensive plays, but the team could not sustain their passing quality once Partizan increased the pace. The home side showed heart and competed well in the opening frame, but the loss of the third set proved decisive.
