Tempo secured a convincing 3-0 away victory over Ilidza in the Premijer liga on 18 October 2026, delivering a controlled performance that underlined their quality in the Bosnian top flight. The visitors were sharper in attack, more consistent from the service line and clinically efficient at the end of each set.

Match overview

Ilidza started with energy and stayed competitive in the opening exchanges, but Tempo gradually imposed their rhythm. The away side’s serve-receive was more stable, their setter found a good balance between the middle and the wings, and their block grew in confidence as the match progressed. Ilidza, by contrast, were forced into too many difficult attacks and struggled to string together scoring runs.

• Set 1: Tempo 25-20
• Set 2: Tempo 25-18
• Set 3: Tempo 25-22

Key moments

The first set was close until the midway point, when Tempo created separation with a run of strong serves and two well-timed blocks. Ilidza briefly threatened to recover, but Tempo’s opposite hitter delivered in transition to close the set. The second set was more one-sided, with Tempo racing ahead and never allowing the home side to find a foothold.

Ilidza produced their best volleyball in the third set, staying within two points for much of the frame and drawing level late on. But Tempo showed composure in the closing rallies, finding the floor through the middle and forcing Ilidza into an error at match point.

Tactical story

Tempo’s serving was the foundation of the win. They kept Ilidza’s reception under pressure and made it difficult for the home side to involve their middle attackers. That allowed Tempo’s block to concentrate on the wings and gave their defence a clearer picture of where the attacks were coming from.

Ilidza’s best spells came when they managed to slow the tempo and extend rallies. However, they were unable to maintain that discipline for long enough, and their error count rose in the second set. Tempo’s setter managed the game well, spreading the attack and keeping Ilidza’s block guessing.

Standout performers

Tempo’s opposite hitter was the most influential attacker on the court, finishing with a match-high 19 points and delivering several important kills in the third set. Their middle blocker contributed key blocks, while the libero produced a series of calm defensive plays under pressure.

For Ilidza, the outside hitter battled hard and was the team’s most reliable scoring option, but support was intermittent. The home side’s block had moments of quality, especially in the third set, but they were unable to sustain the pressure needed to turn the match around.

Standings and season impact

The 3-0 win gives Tempo a valuable away result and strengthens their position in the Premijer liga standings. Clean sweeps are especially useful in a competitive league where set difference can matter, and Tempo will take confidence from a disciplined road performance.

Ilidza remain with work to do, particularly in reception and error control, but their third-set response showed character. Both teams will now turn to their next fixtures, with Tempo looking to build momentum and Ilidza aiming to turn competitive stretches into complete sets.
