Nxled Chameleons Women secured a strong road result in the Premier Volleyball League, defeating Galeries Tower Highrisers Women 1-3 on 22 October 2026. The Chameleons recovered from a competitive opening set to take control of the match, winning the next three sets and leaving the Highrisers with plenty to review.

Match overview

Galeries Tower Highrisers Women entered the PVL fixture looking to use home support and an energetic start to build momentum. They succeeded in making the early stages competitive, but Nxled Chameleons Women gradually imposed their serve-receive structure and transition game.

The 1-3 scoreline reflects a match that turned after the opening set. Nxled found better rhythm in attack, tightened their block, and forced Galeries Tower into longer, less comfortable rallies. Once the Chameleons took the lead, they managed the match with maturity.

Key moments

The first set was closely fought, with Galeries Tower finding enough attacking spark to keep pace. The Highrisers’ crowd energy helped them stay engaged, and they took the opener to give themselves an early advantage.

Nxled responded immediately. Their serving became more aggressive, and their block began to close down the Highrisers’ preferred attacking angles. The second and third sets saw the Chameleons take control, with their outside hitters finding space and their defense extending rallies.

In the fourth set, Galeries Tower tried to force a decider, but Nxled’s composure held. The Chameleons produced the cleaner closing sequence, converting key transition points and limiting unforced errors to seal the 3-1 win.

Tactical story

Nxled’s victory was built on serve-receive stability and better distribution. Their setter kept the offense balanced, involving the middle attackers enough to create gaps for the wings. The Chameleons also defended with discipline, turning several seemingly lost rallies into scoring opportunities.

Galeries Tower showed fight in the opening set but struggled to sustain their attacking efficiency. When their first-ball reception dropped, Nxled’s block was able to set up more comfortably. In the PVL, where transition play is often decisive, that proved to be the key difference.

Standout performers

Nxled’s outside hitters provided the main scoring thrust, while their middle blockers contributed important stops at the net. The libero’s defensive coverage helped steady the back court, and the setter’s decision-making kept the Highrisers guessing.

For Galeries Tower, the opening-set performance showed what the team can do when its passing holds and its attackers get clean swings. The challenge now is to maintain that level across an entire match.

Standings impact

The 1-3 win gives Nxled Chameleons Women a valuable boost in the Premier Volleyball League standings and strengthens their momentum in the competition. Galeries Tower Highrisers Women will need to regroup quickly, particularly in serve-receive and late-set execution.
