The Farm Fresh Foxies Women delivered one of their most complete performances of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League season on Tuesday, sweeping the Galeries Tower Highrisers Women 3-0 in straight sets at the FilOil EcoOil Centre. The Foxies controlled the match from the opening serve, winning 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 to secure a clean three points and strengthen their position in the tournament standings.

It was a victory built on balance rather than a single explosive performance. Farm Fresh attacked efficiently from the wings, kept Galeries Tower out of system with disciplined serving, and never allowed the Highrisers to string together the kind of long scoring run that could have changed the momentum of any set.

Match Overview

• Competition: Premier Volleyball League (PVL)
• Match: Farm Fresh Foxies Women vs. Galeries Tower Highrisers Women
• Date: October 13, 2026
• Final Score: Farm Fresh 3 – 0 Galeries Tower
• Set Scores: 25-21, 25-18, 25-19

The sweep was Farm Fresh's most convincing straight-sets result of the conference so far, and it came against an opponent that had been competitive in recent outings. Galeries Tower entered the match looking to climb the standings, but the Highrisers spent most of the afternoon chasing instead of dictating.

First Set: Foxies Edge a Tight Opening Frame

The opening set was the closest of the three, and for long stretches it looked like it might go the distance. Galeries Tower traded points early, mixing quick attacks through the middle with off-speed shots from the open spiker position to keep the Foxies' blockers honest. The Highrisers even held a slim lead midway through the frame, forcing Farm Fresh into a timeout.

That timeout changed the tone. Farm Fresh returned with a more aggressive service approach, targeting the seams between the Highrisers' receivers and forcing a series of uncomfortable first contacts. Once Galeries Tower's passing broke down, so did its attacking options, and the Foxies closed the set at 25-21 behind a late run of consecutive points.

Second Set: Farm Fresh Tightens the Screws

With a set in hand, Farm Fresh played with far more freedom in the second. The Foxies jumped to an early lead and never surrendered it, building a cushion that hovered between four and seven points for most of the frame. Their blocking unit read the Highrisers' tendencies well, closing the angle on the cross-court attack and forcing Galeries Tower into more and more predictable shots.

The 25-18 scoreline reflected the gap in execution. Galeries Tower managed moments of quality — a couple of booming hits from the back row and a well-timed solo block — but could not sustain any of them long enough to threaten the lead. Farm Fresh's defensive coverage was particularly sharp, digging balls that would ordinarily have ended rallies.

Third Set: Closing Out in Style

The Highrisers made their strongest push at the start of the third set, briefly leveling the score and forcing Farm Fresh to work for every point in the early exchanges. But the Foxies answered with a decisive mid-set surge, breaking away behind a run of strong serves and transition attacks that pushed the lead into double digits at one stage.

To Galeries Tower's credit, the team kept competing, trimming the deficit late to make the final scoreline more respectable. But the outcome was never in doubt, and Farm Fresh sealed the sweep at 25-19, closing the match without dropping a set.

Tactical Story of the Match

Three factors decided this contest:

• Serve pressure: Farm Fresh consistently served to specific zones, disrupting Galeries Tower's setter and limiting the Highrisers to predictable attacking patterns.
• Net defense: The Foxies' block-and-cover system worked well together, with blockers funneling attacks toward a well-positioned back-row defense.
• Transition efficiency: Farm Fresh converted defense into points at a much higher rate, winning the long rallies that typically decide momentum in volleyball.

Galeries Tower, by contrast, struggled with first-ball contact. When the Highrisers' passing held, their offense looked dangerous enough to trouble any team in the league. The problem was consistency — and against a side as organized as Farm Fresh, inconsistent passing becomes a losing formula quickly.

Standout Players

Farm Fresh's wing attackers carried the scoring load, with the open spiker role producing the bulk of the team's kills across all three sets. The middle blockers chipped in with timely quick hits and a handful of momentum-swinging blocks, while the libero anchored a steady defensive effort that kept Galeries Tower's best
