Aesch Pfeffingen Women Take 3-1 Win Over Cheseaux Women

Aesch Pfeffingen Women secured a 3-1 home victory over Cheseaux Women in NLA Women action on October 24, 2026. The hosts won 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16, responding strongly after dropping the second set to take control of the match.

Match overview

Aesch Pfeffingen started with purpose, using an effective serve and a well-organised block to take the opening set. Cheseaux responded in the second, improving their reception and finding more success in attack to level the score. The home side regrouped quickly, though, and produced their best volleyball in the third and fourth sets.

• First set: Aesch Pfeffingen took it 25-20.
• Second set: Cheseaux levelled with a 25-22 win.
• Third set: The hosts moved ahead with a 25-18 success.
• Fourth set: Aesch Pfeffingen closed out the match 25-16.

Key moments

The third set was the decisive period. With the match level, Aesch Pfeffingen increased their serving pressure and forced Cheseaux into a series of difficult attacking situations. That allowed the home side to build a comfortable lead, and they carried that momentum into the fourth set, where they controlled the scoreboard from early on.

Tactical story

Aesch Pfeffingen’s blocking and floor defence worked well together, limiting Cheseaux’s options and creating counter-attacking opportunities. Their setter varied the attack nicely, involving the middle and the wings to keep the visiting block guessing. Cheseaux had their best spell in the second set, but they struggled to sustain that level once Aesch Pfeffingen raised their intensity.

Standout performers

Aesch Pfeffingen’s outside hitters provided consistent scoring throughout, while their middle blockers made important contributions at the net. Cheseaux’s libero and defensive players worked hard to keep rallies alive, and their opposite hitter had bright moments, but the home side had more balance across the court.

Season impact

The win gives Aesch Pfeffingen Women a solid result in the NLA Women standings and reinforces their home-court strength. Cheseaux Women will take encouragement from their second-set response but will need greater consistency to compete across four sets against the league’s stronger sides. The result is a useful marker for both teams as the season develops.
