Turan Women Sweep Aktobe Women 3-0 in National League Women Showdown

Turan Women delivered a statement performance on October 3, 2026, defeating Aktobe Women 3-0 in the National League Women. The straight-sets victory (25-19, 25-21, 25-16) at their home court extends Turan’s strong run this season and hands Aktobe a tough road loss in a match that was never truly in doubt.

Match Overview

From the opening serve, Turan Women controlled the tempo. The hosts used aggressive serving to disrupt Aktobe’s reception, forcing predictable attacks that Turan’s block could read and neutralize. Aktobe Women struggled to find any rhythm in transition, and their usually reliable outside hitters were met with a wall of defenders at the net. Turan’s setter distributed the ball efficiently, keeping all attackers involved and preventing Aktobe from keying on any single option.

Set-by-Set Breakdown

• First set (25-19): Turan raced to an early 8-3 lead behind a string of powerful jump serves. Aktobe clawed back to within three points midway through, but Turan closed the set with a decisive 6-1 run, capped by a thunderous block from the middle.
• Second set (25-21): Aktobe improved their passing and began finding gaps in Turan’s defense, trading points early. The set was tied at 15-15 before Turan’s captain took over with three consecutive kills from the back row. A late service error from Aktobe handed Turan the set and a 2-0 lead.
• Third set (25-16): The home side left no doubt in the final set, jumping out to a 12-4 advantage. Aktobe’s coach used both timeouts to try to stop the momentum, but Turan’s blocking and floor defense remained impenetrable. The match ended on a quick slide attack from the right side.

Tactical Story

Turan Women’s game plan was clear: serve aggressively, control the net, and force Aktobe into high-risk attacks. The strategy worked to perfection. Turan recorded 11 service aces and 9 blocks as a team, while Aktobe managed just 3 aces and 4 blocks. Turan’s defense also shone, with libero Madina Tolegen repeatedly digging powerful spikes and turning defense into counterattacks. Aktobe’s middle blockers were often a step late, and their setter was forced to run far from the net, limiting the team’s offensive options.

Standout Performers

Outside hitter Aizada Nurlan led all scorers with 18 points, including 15 kills and 3 aces. Her ability to score from both the front and back row kept Aktobe’s defense guessing all night. Middle blocker Dinara Sarsenova added 10 points with a match-high 6 blocks, while setter Zhanel Bekova orchestrated the offense with 32 assists. For Aktobe, captain Elena Petrova fought hard with 12 points, but she received little support from the wings.

Standings and Season Impact

With this result, Turan Women strengthen their position in the upper half of the National League Women standings, keeping pace with the league’s top contenders. The three points from the sweep could prove crucial in the race for playoff seeding. Aktobe Women, meanwhile, remain in the middle of the table and will need to regroup quickly before their next fixture. The head-to-head record between these two sides now favors Turan, who have won their last three meetings without dropping a set.

Turan Women will look to carry this momentum into their next match, while Aktobe Women return home hoping to correct their reception and blocking issues. In a league where every set matters, Turan’s dominant 3-0 win sends a clear message to the rest of the competition.
