Match Overview

Rebaza Acosta started brightly, taking the first set 25-22 with a balanced attack and a handful of important block touches. Tactical Story

The match was a contest of adjustments. Rebaza Acosta’s block improved as the match wore on, particularly against Atenea’s cross-court attacks. By the third set, the hosts were reading the opposing setter more effectively and closing the block earlier. Atenea countered by using more back-row attacks and quick middle plays, which helped them take the fourth set and force a decider.

In the fifth set, serving became decisive. Rebaza Acosta kept the pressure on Atenea’s reception and prevented the visitors from running their preferred first-tempo options. Atenea fought back with a few strong defensive plays, but Rebaza Acosta’s side-out efficiency in the final rallies proved enough to secure the win.

Standout Performers

Rebaza Acosta’s opposite hitter delivered important points throughout, especially in the first and third sets. Their middle blocker was influential at the net, producing blocks and quick attacks that changed Atenea’s attacking choices. Atenea’s outside hitters carried much of the scoring load and kept the team alive in the fourth set, while their libero made several momentum-saving digs.

Table Impact

The five-set win gives Rebaza Acosta Women valuable momentum in the LNSV Women standings and rewards their ability to win a close match. Atenea Women leave with the frustration of a narrow loss but can take encouragement from their resilience after falling behind twice. In a league where set differential and head-to-head results can shape the final table, this was a result Rebaza Acosta may look back on as an important one.
