Mulhouse Women Sweep Evreux in Ligue A

Mulhouse Women produced a commanding 3-0 road victory over Evreux Women in Ligue A Women on 25 October 2026, winning 25-20, 25-18, 25-22. The visitors controlled the net and kept Evreux under pressure from the service line throughout a one-sided contest.

Match Overview

Mulhouse entered the match with a clear game plan: aggressive serving, disciplined block-defence and quick transitions. Evreux struggled to establish its middle attack and often found itself attacking against a well-formed block. The first set was competitive for long stretches, but Mulhouse pulled away late. The second set was more straightforward, and although Evreux improved in the third, the visitors had enough quality to close the match in straight sets.

Key Moments

The opening set was tied at 16-16 before Mulhouse created separation with a run of strong serves and two blocks. That burst changed the tone of the match. In the second set, Mulhouse raced to an early lead and never allowed Evreux to build momentum. Evreux briefly led in the third and had chances to extend the match, but Mulhouse responded with a 5-1 run in the closing phase to secure the sweep.

Tactical Story

Mulhouse’s serving strategy targeted Evreux’s reception line and limited the home team’s options in transition. With Evreux unable to consistently bring its middle blockers into the attack, Mulhouse’s defenders could focus on the pins. Evreux tried to change the rhythm with substitutions and a more direct approach, but too many unforced errors interrupted its best spells.

Standout Performers

Mulhouse outside hitter Clara Weiss led the attack with a steady stream of kills from the left and proved difficult to contain in the third set. Evreux libero Manon Leclerc worked hard in defence and kept several rallies alive, but the home side lacked the same efficiency at the net. Mulhouse’s middle blockers also made an impact with timely stops in the first and second sets.

Season Impact

The straight-sets win gives Mulhouse three important points and a strong road result in Ligue A Women. Evreux will need to improve its first contact and reduce errors when facing high-pressure serving teams. The defeat is a reminder of how quickly matches can slip away in Ligue A when reception breaks down, and Evreux will be eager to respond in its next home outing.
