Match overview

Nilufer Bld. 2 Women started well, using home energy and a sharp outside attack to take the first set 25-21. The match shifted in the second, when 07 Mega Spor tightened their serve receive and began to neutralize Nilufer’s pin hitters. The visitors took the second 25-20, edged a tight third 25-22, and then pulled away in the fourth to complete the comeback.

Key moments

• Second-set shift: Trailing 8-6, 07 Mega Spor scored five of the next six points, with two blocks sparking the run.
• Third-set finish: Nilufer fought back to 22-22, but the visitors closed with three straight points, including a serve that forced an overpass.
• Fourth-set control: 07 Mega Spor broke away from 12-12 with a 7-2 run and kept Nilufer at a safe distance to the end.

Tactical story

The away side’s adjustment after the first set was decisive. They served more aggressively to Nilufer’s left-side receivers, limiting the home team’s ability to run quick middle attacks. That made Nilufer more predictable, and 07 Mega Spor’s block began to close the line. In transition, the visitors were patient, using high hands and smart placement rather than forcing power against a set block. Nilufer’s best moments came when they varied their serve and kept the ball off the net, but they could not sustain that pressure.

Standout performers

07 Mega Spor’s opposite hitter was the standout attacking force, especially in the third and fourth sets, while their libero provided stability in serve receive. The middle blockers grew into the match and made several key defensive plays at the net. For Nilufer Bld. 2 Women, the outside hitter carried much of the scoring load early, but the team’s error count climbed as the match wore on.

Season impact

Road wins are precious in the 1. Ligi Women, and this one will give 07 Mega Spor confidence that they can compete away from home. The result also adds pressure to Nilufer Bld. 2 Women, who will need to improve their response when opponents slow their first-choice attack. Both teams remain in the thick of a competitive league table, with plenty of volleyball still to play.
