Match overview

Yesilyurt’s performance was built on disciplined serving, solid blocking and efficient attacking. Eczacibasi 2 Women, fielding a young and developing lineup, struggled to find consistent answers. Although the home side improved in the third set, Yesilyurt’s experience and composure proved too much.

The result adds important momentum to Yesilyurt’s campaign in the 1. Ligi Women, while Eczacibasi 2 Women will view the match as another learning step in a competitive league environment.

Key moments

Yesilyurt started the match with purpose, taking an early lead through aggressive serving. Eczacibasi 2 stayed within range for much of the first set, but a late run from the visitors created the separation needed to close it out 25-19.

The second set was more one-sided. Yesilyurt’s block began to dominate, and Eczacibasi 2’s reception came under sustained pressure. The visitors raced ahead and never looked back, taking the set comfortably and moving within one set of victory.

Eczacibasi 2 showed resilience in the third set, producing a more competitive display and finding some success through the middle. However, Yesilyurt remained calm in the key moments, using smart placement and a couple of crucial blocks to hold off the home side’s challenge and complete the sweep.

Tactical story

Yesilyurt’s serve was the foundation of their dominance. By targeting Eczacibasi 2’s passing lanes, they forced the home team into predictable attacks and allowed their block to set up efficiently. Yesilyurt’s setter also managed the game well, distributing the ball and keeping the attack unpredictable.

Eczacibasi 2 Women had their best moments when they managed to serve aggressively and disrupt Yesilyurt’s rhythm. But those moments were too infrequent, and the home side’s error count rose as the match wore on. The young lineup will need to improve its passing consistency and decision-making under pressure.

Standout performers

Yesilyurt’s outside hitter delivered a strong performance, leading the scoring and finding ways to terminate in key rallies. The team’s setter controlled the tempo impressively, while the middle blockers provided a consistent presence at the net. Yesilyurt’s libero also contributed with steady defense and accurate passing.

For Eczacibasi 2 Women, the middle blocker was among the most promising performers, showing good timing and energy at the net. The team’s captain worked hard to keep the group organized, but the home side lacked the firepower to challenge Yesilyurt over the full match.

Season impact

The straight-sets win strengthens Yesilyurt Women’s position in the 1. Ligi Women and gives them confidence ahead of the next round. For Eczacibasi 2 Women, the defeat is a reminder of the standard required in the league, but the experience will be valuable for a squad that continues to develop. Yesilyurt will look to carry the same serving and blocking intensity into their next fixture, while Eczacibasi 2 will focus on improving reception and reducing errors.
