Aydin Bld. Spor Women Battle Past IBB Spor Kulubu Women in Four Sets

Aydin Bld. Spor Women claimed a hard-fought 3-1 home victory over IBB Spor Kulubu Women in the 1. Ligi Women on 24 October 2026. After dropping a tight second set, Aydin regrouped impressively and controlled the latter stages of the match, securing an important result in front of their home supporters.

Match Overview

The contest began with both teams trading long rallies, and the first set set the tone for a competitive evening. Aydin Bld. Spor Women edged the opener before IBB Spor Kulubu Women responded with a determined second-set performance. The turning point came in the third set, when Aydin’s serving and blocking combination created separation, and the hosts carried that momentum into the fourth to close out the match.

Aydin’s ability to reset after losing the second set was a key feature of the win. Their setter varied the attack effectively, bringing the middle blockers into the game and creating one-on-one opportunities for the pins. IBB remained dangerous in transition but were ultimately undone by a stretch of unforced errors and difficulty containing Aydin’s block late in rallies.

Set-by-Set Story

• First set: Aydin Bld. Spor Women held their nerve in a close finish, taking the opener with efficient side-out play.
• Second set: IBB Spor Kulubu Women raised their serving aggression and leveled the match, capitalizing on a brief dip in Aydin’s reception.
• Third set: The hosts reasserted control through a strong blocking run and improved first-tempo attack, building a decisive lead.
• Fourth set: Aydin maintained their advantage, defending well and converting key transition points to seal the 3-1 win.

Tactical Story

Aydin’s mid-match adjustment was central to the result. Their block began to close the line more effectively, forcing IBB’s outside hitters into sharper cross-court angles. At the same time, Aydin’s serve-receive stabilized, allowing the setter to run a more varied offense. IBB’s best moments came when their opposite hitter found rhythm, but the visitors could not sustain that threat across four sets.

Standout Performers

Aydin’s middle blocker was a constant presence at the net, contributing both blocking points and offensive pressure. The home setter managed the game well, especially in the third and fourth sets, while the libero provided stability in reception. For IBB Spor Kulubu Women, the opposite hitter carried much of the attacking load, but support was intermittent.

Season Impact

The victory gives Aydin Bld. Spor Women a valuable three-point haul in the 1. Ligi Women and reinforces their home-court strength. IBB Spor Kulubu Women will take encouragement from their second-set response, but will need greater consistency in serve-receive and error control as the season progresses.
