Siran Akademi delivered a dominant home performance to sweep Galatasaray 2 3-0 in the 1. Ligi on Sunday, October 25, 2026, combining strong serving with disciplined block defense to control the match from start to finish.

The set scores were 25-20, 25-18 and 25-22. The win gives Siran Akademi a confidence-boosting result and three important points in the early 1. Ligi standings.

Match overview

Siran Akademi set the tone early. Their serve put Galatasaray 2 under pressure from the opening rallies, and the home side’s block was well positioned to handle the visitors’ responses. Siran built a narrow lead in the first set and then pulled away late to take it 25-20.

The second set was even more convincing. Siran’s reception was clean, allowing the setter to use the middle attack and create space on the wings. Galatasaray 2 struggled to string points together, and Siran capitalised with a decisive mid-set run on the way to a 25-18 win.

Galatasaray 2 showed more resistance in the third. They improved their serve and forced Siran into a few uncomfortable rallies, keeping the set close into the final phase. But Siran’s experience and composure told. A late block and a well-executed transition attack helped the hosts close out the set 25-22 and complete the sweep.

Key moments

• First set, 18-17: Siran Akademi produced a 4-0 run behind two blocks and an ace, creating the gap that decided the set.
• Second set, 11-9: A long serving run from Siran forced Galatasaray 2 into predictable attacks, allowing the home block to take over.
• Third set, 21-21: With the set on a knife-edge, Siran won three of the next four points, including a crucial block on the right side.
• Match point: Siran closed the contest with a clean first-tempo attack, capping a composed team performance.

Tactical story

Siran Akademi’s serving strategy was simple but effective: keep Galatasaray 2 away from the middle and force their outside hitters into difficult angles. The home block read the resulting attacks well, often sealing the net or slowing the ball down enough for the defense to transition.

Galatasaray 2 had their best moments when they managed to serve aggressively and disrupt Siran’s reception. But those moments were too infrequent. Siran’s setter did an excellent job of varying the attack, keeping the middle involved and giving the outside hitters favorable matchups. The home side’s error count was also notably low, which made it difficult for Galatasaray 2 to build momentum.

Standout performers

Siran Akademi’s opposite hitter led the scoring with a consistent performance across all three sets, while the middle blockers controlled the net and created problems with their quick attacks. The libero was reliable in reception and made several important defensive plays in the third set.

For Galatasaray 2, the libero was one of the bright spots, keeping several rallies alive with energetic defense. The young side showed character in the third set, but they will need to improve their serve-receive consistency to compete against stronger 1. Ligi opponents.

1. Ligi table impact

The 3-0 victory gives Siran Akademi maximum points and a strong boost to their standing in the 1. Ligi table. Sweeps are especially valuable in league play because they reflect control across the full match. For Galatasaray 2, the defeat is a learning experience, and their third-set fight suggests there are positives to build on despite the scoreline.
