• Set 2: Kilis Genclik 25-21 Fenerbahce 2
• Set 3: Kilis Genclik 25-23 Fenerbahce 2

The scoreline reflects a match that became more competitive as it went on, but Kilis Genclik always had the answers. The home team won the key points in each set, and their ability to side out under pressure prevented Fenerbahce 2 from building sustained momentum.

Key Moments

Kilis Genclik set the tone in the first set with an early serving run that forced Fenerbahce 2 into out-of-system attacks. The home block was well positioned, and the first set was wrapped up 25-18. Fenerbahce 2 improved in the second set, trading points through the middle, but Kilis Genclik’s outside hitters found gaps in the defense during a late 4-1 run. The third set was the tightest, with Fenerbahce 2 leading 20-19. Kilis Genclik then leaned on their opposite hitter and a pair of blocks to regain control, closing out the match 25-23.

Tactical Story

Kilis Genclik’s game plan was built on pressure from the service line. By targeting Fenerbahce 2’s outside passers, the home team disrupted the visitors’ first tempo and forced predictable high-ball sets. That made it easier for Kilis Genclik’s middle blockers to read and close the block. In attack, Kilis Genclik used a balanced distribution: quick middle attacks kept the defense honest, while back-row attacks created additional scoring options. Fenerbahce 2 showed flashes of quality, especially in transition, but they could not match Kilis Genclik’s consistency in serve receive or their efficiency in the clutch. The visitors also committed too many unforced errors at the end of sets, which proved costly in a straight-sets defeat.

Standout Performers

Kilis Genclik’s opposite hitter was the standout attacker, scoring important points in all three sets and especially in the third-set comeback. The team’s libero was excellent in defense, repeatedly extending rallies and giving the home side extra attacking chances. The captain and setter managed the offense well, choosing the right hitters as Fenerbahce 2’s block adjusted. For Fenerbahce 2, the middle blocker was a bright spot with several effective attacks and blocks, while their setter showed composure beyond her years. However, the visitors lacked a consistent terminal scorer when the match reached its critical moments.

League Impact

The 3-0 win gives Kilis Genclik a full three points in the 1. Ligi standings, a valuable boost in what is expected to be a competitive race for promotion and playoff places. Fenerbahce 2 leave with no points, but the match offers useful development experience for a reserve side that will continue to test itself against senior opposition. For Kilis Genclik, the result strengthens their home record and reinforces their credentials as a team capable of making noise in the division. The head-to-head record now favors Kilis Genclik, and they will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture.
