Key moments

The first set established Belediye Plevne’s attacking intent. Their serve kept TVF Spor Lisesi under pressure, and the home side’s block started to read the visitor’s outside attack. A mid-set run gave Belediye Plevne enough breathing room to close the opener 25-20.

TVF Spor Lisesi’s response in the second set was impressive. They improved their first contact, varied their attacking zones, and took advantage of a brief dip in Belediye Plevne’s serving accuracy. The visitors held their nerve late in the set to win 25-22 and briefly change the momentum.

The third set was where Belediye Plevne regained control. Their serving became more aggressive, forcing TVF Spor Lisesi into predictable swings that the home block could challenge. Once Belediye Plevne built a four-point lead, they managed the set well and finished it 25-18. The fourth set was even more one-sided, with the home side’s defense-to-attack transition functioning smoothly.

Tactical story

Belediye Plevne’s win was built on balance. Their outside hitters carried a heavy load, but the middle attack provided enough variety to keep TVF Spor Lisesi’s block honest. The home side also improved their block positioning as the match progressed, especially on the visitor’s right-side attack.

TVF Spor Lisesi’s best volleyball came in the second set, when their reception held and their setter could use the full width of the net. But once Belediye Plevne increased serve pressure, the visitors struggled to maintain that variety. The result was a series of shorter rallies in the third and fourth sets, which favored the more physical home side.

Standout performers

Belediye Plevne’s opposite hitter was a reliable point-scoring option in key moments, while their libero helped stabilize the back court during TVF Spor Lisesi’s best spell. The home middle blockers also grew into the match, producing important blocks in the third and fourth sets.

For TVF Spor Lisesi, the second-set comeback showed their potential. Their outside attack caused problems when reception was in system, and their defensive effort kept several rallies alive. The challenge now is producing that level for longer stretches against experienced 1. Ligi opposition.

Standings impact

The 3-1 win gave Belediye Plevne a full three points and strengthened their position in the 1. Ligi table. TVF Spor Lisesi came away with no points despite a competitive second set, highlighting how narrow the margins can be in a league where serve-receive consistency often decides the outcome.

For Belediye Plevne, the performance was a useful reminder of their ability to respond after a setback within a match. For TVF Spor Lisesi, the fixture offered clear lessons about managing long rallies and maintaining attacking variety when the opponent raises the pressure.
