Nusle Women produced a controlled and clinical display in the 1. liga Women on 24 October 2026, defeating NVC CVS B Women 3-0 in straight sets. The visitors were sharper in every phase of the match and took the sets 25-19, 25-21 and 25-17, leaving the home side with few answers in the key moments.

Nusle take charge early

The first set was competitive until the midpoint, with NVC CVS B staying within touching distance at 12-12. Nusle then found another gear through aggressive serving and a well-organized block, stringing together a decisive run that pushed the score to 18-13. NVC CVS B called a timeout, but the visitors kept their rhythm and closed the set 25-19.

Key moments in the match

The second set offered NVC CVS B their best spell of the match. The hosts led 14-12 after a useful run of their own, but Nusle responded with a 5-1 burst to reclaim control. From there, Nusle’s passing held up under pressure and their outside hitters found space in the corners. The third set followed a similar pattern: Nusle broke away early and never let the deficit become manageable, sealing the sweep with a comfortable 25-17 finish.

Tactical story: serve, block and transition

Nusle’s float serve was the foundation of the win. By targeting the seam between receivers, they disrupted NVC CVS B’s first tempo and forced predictable attacks. That allowed Nusle’s middle blockers to set up early and turn defence into quick transition points. NVC CVS B had brief success when they managed to get their middle attack involved, but they could not sustain that quality across the three sets.

Standout players

Nusle outside hitter Tereza Nováková led all scorers with 16 points, including three aces. Opposite Markéta Horáková added 14 points and setter Lucie Benešová distributed 32 assists with good variety. Libero Karolína Svobodová anchored the back court and repeatedly kept rallies alive. For NVC CVS B, captain Anna Dvořáková finished with 11 points, while middle blocker Klára Procházková registered three blocks.

What the result means for the table

The straight-sets win gives Nusle three valuable points and strengthens their position in the 1. liga Women standings. NVC CVS B, meanwhile, remain with work to do after a home defeat in which they showed flashes but lacked consistency. The head-to-head now favours Nusle, and the result will give them confidence ahead of their next fixtures.
