Hronov Women produced a composed away performance in the Czech 1. liga Women, defeating KP Brno B Women 3-1 on 10 October 2026. After dropping a closely contested opening set, the visitors took control of the match with disciplined serving and efficient attacking, leaving the home side searching for answers in the closing stages.

Match overview

KP Brno B, the reserve outfit of the Královo Pole Brno volleyball club, began with real energy in front of their home supporters. Their block was well organised early and their serving caused problems in the Hronov reception, enough to edge a tight first set and take a 1-0 lead in the match.

That advantage did not last. Hronov Women regrouped quickly, cleaned up their first contact and began to run their offence with far greater fluency. From the second set onwards the visitors looked the more settled team, and the result followed a familiar pattern of a strong start being overturned by superior consistency.

Key moments

• KP Brno B took the opening set after a tense finish, converting their third set point.
• Hronov levelled in the second set, breaking away with a mid-set serving run that the home reception never fully recovered from.
• The third set was the decisive one: Hronov saved break points before closing it out and taking the lead in the match.
• A confident fourth set sealed the 3-1 win for the visitors.

Tactical story

Hronov's turnaround was built on reception and tempo. Once their passers stabilised, the setter could use the quick middle attack to stretch the KP Brno B block, opening up the wings for the outside hitters. The visitors also served with more purpose after the opening set, targeting the seams and forcing predictable attacking situations that their defence could read.

KP Brno B's young line-up showed flashes of real quality, particularly in blocking, but the team's ability to sustain rallies dipped as the match wore on. Errors in transition and a handful of missed serves at crucial moments gave Hronov the openings they needed.

Standout performers

Hronov's outside hitters carried much of the scoring load and were particularly effective in the third and fourth sets, while their libero anchored the back court with steady reception and important defensive plays. For KP Brno B, the middle blockers were the standout performers, producing several momentum-changing blocks in the opening set.

What it means for the table

The away win is a solid result for Hronov Women in the 1. liga Women and strengthens their position as a team capable of taking points on the road. KP Brno B will take encouragement from their fast start but will need greater consistency across four sets to convert promising performances into victories in this division.
