TJ Sokol Dobrichcvice secured a confident home victory in the 1. liga, sweeping Lvi Prague B 3-0. The home side controlled the match from the opening serve, combined disciplined serving with a strong block and never allowed Lvi Prague B to establish a sustained foothold in the contest.

Match overview

Dobrichcvice took the first set 25-18, using an early scoring run to settle into the match. The second set was tighter, but the home team still managed to keep a comfortable cushion for most of it and closed it 25-21. Lvi Prague B produced their best spell in the third set, staying close deep into the set, but Dobrichcvice found the necessary points late to win it 25-23 and complete the sweep.

The 3-0 scoreline reflected the home side’s control in the key phases. Dobrichcvice were more efficient in attack, more consistent at the service line and more organised in defence. Lvi Prague B competed well in patches, especially in the third set, but could not convert their best moments into set-winning momentum.

Key moments

• First set: Dobrichcvice broke away early with a run of aggressive serves and a pair of blocks, setting the tone for the match.
• Second set: Lvi Prague B stayed close until the middle phase, but the home side’s transition attack created separation.
• Third set: The visitors pushed hard and kept the set tight, but Dobrichcvice held their nerve in the closing rallies to finish the match.

Tactical story

Dobrichcvice’s serving was the standout feature of the performance. The home side mixed pace and placement effectively, making it difficult for Lvi Prague B to run a clean offence. When the visitors were forced into predictable attacks, Dobrichcvice’s block was able to set up well and the defence behind it cleaned up the remaining opportunities.

Lvi Prague B’s best moments came when they managed to slow the game down and involve their middle attackers. In the third set, they found more success by varying their attack and keeping Dobrichcvice’s block moving. Ultimately, however, the home side had more quality in the decisive rallies and managed the match better from the service line.

Standout performers and season impact

Dobrichcvice’s opposite hitter provided a steady scoring threat throughout, while the team’s middle blockers made a significant impact at the net. The libero also delivered a composed performance, helping the home side maintain its defensive structure under pressure.

The 3-0 win gives TJ Sokol Dobrichcvice a valuable boost in the 1. liga table and reinforces their home-court strength. For Lvi Prague B, the defeat offers a clear learning opportunity: the team competed well in the third set but needs greater consistency in reception and transition if it is to challenge stronger opponents on the road.
