Match Overview

• Competition: League Cup
• Fixture: Aris vs OFI
• Date: 28 October 2026
• Final score: Aris 0-3 OFI
• Result type: Straight-sets away win

The clean sweep reflects OFI’s control across all three sets. Aris had brief positive spells, particularly when their block connected in the middle, but the home side struggled to string points together consistently. OFI’s side-out game was steadier, and their ability to score from both the wings and the middle kept Aris guessing.

Key Moments

The opening set set the tone. OFI jumped into an early advantage and forced Aris into a series of hurried attacks. The home crowd tried to lift the team, and Aris responded with a few strong defensive plays, but OFI’s composure in long rallies helped them close the set without allowing a late comeback.

The second set followed a similar pattern. OFI’s serve continued to create problems, and their block adjusted well to Aris’s preferred attacking angles. By the time the third set arrived, Aris were searching for answers, while OFI looked increasingly confident. The visitors finished the match in efficient fashion, sealing the 3-0 result and a place in the next stage of the League Cup conversation.

Standout Performers and Tactical Story

OFI’s setter dictated the tempo well, keeping the offense balanced and ensuring the team did not become predictable in key rallies. Their outside hitters delivered consistently, while the middle attack provided enough threat to stretch Aris’s defense. The serving performance was especially notable, as OFI repeatedly forced Aris out of system.

Aris showed flashes of quality, but the home side could not match OFI’s consistency. Their reception came under pressure early, and when the team tried to increase the risk on serve, the error count rose. In a cup match where momentum matters, OFI managed the big points far better.

What the Result Means

For OFI, the 3-0 win is a statement result in the League Cup, built on discipline and efficient scoring. Aris will need to review their reception and transition play after a difficult night at home. The straight-sets defeat leaves them with clear areas to address as they return to league duties.
