Nysa Women came from a set down to beat Solna Wieliczka Women 3-1 in the Polish I. Liga Women, delivering a composed road performance after an error-strewn opening frame. The visitors grew into the match steadily, taking control from the second set onward and finishing strongly.

Match Overview

Solna Wieliczka started brightly, using their home crowd and an aggressive serving strategy to take the opening set. But Nysa adjusted quickly, tightening their reception and producing a much cleaner attacking display across the next three sets.

• Final score: Solna Wieliczka Women 1-3 Nysa Women
• Set scores: 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 18-25
• Competition: I. Liga Women (Poland)
• Turning point: Nysa's serving run early in the second set

Key Moments

The second set was the hinge of the match. After dropping the opener, Nysa opened up a 7-2 lead through a sequence of powerful serves and converted transition attacks. Solna Wieliczka narrowed the gap to two points late in the frame, but Nysa held their nerve to level the match.

The third set was the most competitive of the night. The teams exchanged leads seven times before Nysa broke clear at 19-18, winning six of the final ten points to edge ahead in the match for the first time. That deflating finish visibly affected the hosts, who were unable to recover in the fourth.

Tactical Story

Nysa's improvement after the first set was built on reception. Once their passers found rhythm, the setter could use the middle attack far more frequently, which pulled Solna Wieliczka's block apart and created space on the wings. The visitors also reduced their unforced errors dramatically, from double figures in the first set to just a handful across the next two.

Solna Wieliczka's approach never changed, and that proved their undoing. Their high-risk serving produced early rewards but delivered diminishing returns as the match progressed, while their block struggled to adapt to Nysa's quicker distribution.

Standout Performers

Nysa's setter was the architect of the comeback, varying tempo and finding consistent production from both middle blockers. Their outside hitter delivered the clutch points in the third set. Solna Wieliczka's libero was excellent in defence, but the home side lacked a reliable scoring option once their serve stopped generating free points.

Season Impact

This is a valuable away result for Nysa, who show they can win even when the opening set goes against them — a quality that matters over a long I. Liga Women campaign. Solna Wieliczka are left to reflect on a match they controlled early but could not close, and will need a sharper response in their next home fixture.
