Match overview

Sędziszów Małopolski were the better team throughout the match, though Solna Wieliczka made the third set competitive. Set-by-set

• Set 1: Sędziszów Małopolski Women 25-20 Solna Wieliczka Women
• Set 2: Sędziszów Małopolski Women 25-16 Solna Wieliczka Women
• Set 3: Sędziszów Małopolski Women 25-22 Solna Wieliczka Women

Key moments

The first set was tight until the closing stages. With Sędziszów leading 19-18, a run of three consecutive points, including a block and an ace, gave the hosts the breathing room they needed. The second set was much more one-sided. Sędziszów raced into an 8-3 lead and never allowed Solna to settle, closing the set with a dominant serving display.

Solna Wieliczka responded well at the start of the third set and led 18-16 after a series of successful attacks. Sędziszów, however, stayed calm and won six of the next seven points to regain control. A closing block from the home middle gave Sędziszów match point, which they converted on their first opportunity.

Tactical story

Sędziszów Małopolski’s serve was the foundation of their win. The hosts consistently targeted Solna’s outside hitters, making it difficult for the visitors to run their preferred quick attack. That pressure allowed Sędziszów to set up their block early and control the tempo of the match.

In transition, Sędziszów were particularly effective. Their libero covered the court well, and the setter made smart choices when the reception was imperfect. Solna’s defence had some good moments, especially in the third set, but they could not sustain their attacking pressure long enough to change the outcome.

Standout performers

Agata Wilk led Sędziszów with 16 points, including several important kills in the tight first and third sets. Middle blocker Karolina Duda added four blocks and gave the team a strong presence at the net. The home setter also played a key role, keeping the offence balanced and finding the right hitter in transition.

For Solna Wieliczka, Weronika Pawlik was the top scorer with 13 points. She fought hard in the third set, but Solna’s attacking options were limited once Sędziszów’s serve pressure increased.

League impact

The win moves Sędziszów Małopolski Women onto three valuable points and strengthens their position in the I. Liga Women table. Solna Wieliczka will be disappointed with the second-set collapse but can take some encouragement from their third-set response. Sędziszów will look to maintain this level of serving and blocking in their next fixture.
