• First set: Bialystok’s balanced attack delivered a 25-20 win.
• Second set: Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki levelled with a 25-22 response.
• Third set: Bialystok regained the lead with a 25-19 set.
• Fourth set: The visitors closed out the match 25-21.

Tactical story

Bialystok’s serving strategy made the difference. They targeted the host team’s reception lines and forced a number of predictable attacks, which allowed their block to set up efficiently. When Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki managed a clean first pass, they were competitive, but those moments became less frequent as the match progressed.

The visitors also won the battle of the middle. Their quick attacks kept the opposing blockers honest and created more space for the outside hitters. Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki had good spells in the second set but struggled to sustain that level once Bialystok increased their service pressure.

Standout players

Anna Kowalska was Bialystok’s leading attacking threat, delivering points in key moments across the match. Marta Zielinska controlled the net well and contributed important blocks, especially during the third-set surge. The visitors’ libero also deserves credit for stabilizing the reception under pressure.

For Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki, Katarzyna Nowak was the standout with a determined performance in attack and defense. The hosts showed fight in the second set, but they needed more consistent production from the wings to keep pace.

Season impact

The away victory strengthens Bialystok Women’s position in the I. Liga Women and gives them a valuable road result. Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki will be disappointed to lose after levelling the match, but the performance highlighted areas of progress. Both teams will now turn their attention to improving consistency in serve-reception as the season develops.
