Prerov Women vs KP Brno Women: Prerov Seal 3-0 Home Win in Extraliga Women

Prerov Women made home advantage count in the Extraliga Women on 25 October 2026, sweeping KP Brno Women 3-0 in a match that was competitive in patches but controlled by the hosts for long stretches. The 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 scoreline reflected Prerov’s edge in serve reception, block organisation and side-out consistency.

From the opening rally, Prerov looked the sharper side. Their passing gave the setter room to use the middle attack, and that early rhythm helped them build a narrow but deserved lead in the first set. KP Brno stayed within touching distance through some resilient defence, but the home team’s composure at the end of the set proved decisive.

Match Overview

Prerov carried that momentum into the second set, applying pressure with a steady serve and forcing KP Brno into predictable attacking patterns. The visitors briefly threatened midway through the set, but a run of well-constructed points from Prerov restored control. The third set was the most closely contested, with KP Brno improving at the net and extending rallies, yet Prerov found the important kills late on to close out the match without dropping a set.

Key Moments

• First set, 21-20: Prerov won a long rally through a strong block, then followed with an ace to create the cushion they needed.
• Second set, 16-14: A short serving run from the hosts stretched the lead and forced KP Brno into a timeout.
• Third set, 22-22: Prerov’s outside hitter delivered two consecutive points from difficult angles, effectively ending the visitors’ comeback hopes.

Tactical Story

The match was shaped by Prerov’s serve-and-block pressure. By keeping KP Brno away from the middle of the court, the hosts limited the visitors’ quick attacks and made their offence more predictable. Prerov’s block adjusted well after the first set, and their transition game was noticeably quicker. KP Brno defended bravely and showed good fight in the third set, but they struggled to sustain scoring runs against a home side that rarely gave away free points.

Standout Players

Prerov’s outside hitter Tereza Nováková led the attacking effort with a team-high 14 points, combining powerful swings with smart use of the block. Setter Markéta Dvořáková kept the offence balanced and found the middle attackers whenever KP Brno’s block drifted wide. For the visitors, Lucie Svobodová was their most consistent attacking outlet, but she often had to score against a well-formed double block.

Season Impact

The straight-sets win gives Prerov Women a valuable boost in the Extraliga Women standings and reinforces their home-court strength. For KP Brno Women, the result is a reminder of the level required to compete consistently in the upper half of the table. Prerov will take confidence from the clean sweep, while KP Brno will look to improve their reception and late-set execution in the next round.
