TFSE vs Miskolc: TFSE Take 3-1 Extraliga Victory

TFSE secured a 3-1 home win over Miskolc in the Extraliga on 23 October 2026, using a strong serving performance and a balanced attack to claim all three points. The hosts recovered from a mid-match wobble to close out the contest in four sets, while Miskolc were left to reflect on a competitive display that lacked the finishing touch in the biggest rallies.

Match overview

TFSE started brightly, controlling the opening exchanges with aggressive serves and quick middle attacks. Miskolc grew into the match and produced their best volleyball in the third set, but TFSE’s ability to reset after losing that set proved decisive. The home side’s block-defence system held up well under pressure, and their setter consistently found ways to involve the middle hitters.

Set-by-set flow

TFSE took the first set 25-20, breaking away in the middle phase through a run of strong serves. The hosts doubled their advantage with a 25-22 second-set win, surviving a late Miskolc surge. Miskolc responded well in the third, taking it 22-25 after improving their reception and attacking with more conviction. TFSE reasserted control in the fourth, closing the match 25-18 with a composed all-round display.

Key moments

• TFSE’s serving run in the first set set the tone and forced Miskolc into predictable attacks.
• The second set stayed close until TFSE’s block produced two crucial points late on.
• Miskolc’s third-set revival gave them hope, but TFSE’s early lead in the fourth snuffed out the comeback.
• A late block in the fourth set sealed the momentum and sent TFSE towards the finish line.

Standout performers

TFSE’s top scorer finished with 19 points, leading the home attack through important stretches. The middle blockers were effective both offensively and at the net, while the libero produced several key digs in the fourth set. Miskolc’s outside hitters fought hard and kept the visitors in the match during the second and third sets, but they lacked the same support from the middle.

Tactical story

The match was decided by serving and first contact. TFSE served with more risk and managed to keep Miskolc out of system for long periods. When Miskolc did pass well, they were dangerous, especially in the third set. But TFSE’s ability to vary their attack and stay patient in transition gave them the edge. The hosts also won the block battle, turning several long rallies into quick points.

Table impact and what’s next

The 3-1 victory gives TFSE three points in the Extraliga standings and builds momentum for their next outing. Miskolc leave with no points but can take confidence from their third-set performance. For TFSE, maintaining serve quality and reducing unforced errors will be the focus. For Miskolc, improving reception consistency and finding more middle involvement will be key to converting competitive sets into wins.
