Fenerbahce produced a controlled and authoritative performance to beat Alanya Bld 3-0 in the Efeler Ligi on 28 October 2026, strengthening their position among the leading sides in the Turkish men’s volleyball league. The home side won in straight sets, combining aggressive serving with disciplined block-defence and efficient transition play to keep Alanya at arm’s length for long stretches of the match.

Match overview

Fenerbahce set the tone early and rarely allowed Alanya Bld to settle into a comfortable attacking rhythm. The hosts took the opening set 25-21, doubled their advantage with a 25-18 scoreline in the second, and then completed the sweep with a 25-22 win in the third. While Alanya improved in the final set and stayed within touching distance for longer, Fenerbahce’s composure in the closing points made the difference.

The victory was built on the fundamentals that define successful teams in the Efeler Ligi: consistent reception, a varied serve, and a block that consistently narrowed the attacking angles for the opponent. Fenerbahce did not need spectacular surges to win; instead, they applied pressure point after point and forced Alanya into difficult sideout situations.

Key moments

• First-set separation: With the opening set finely balanced in the middle stage, Fenerbahce found a short run of serve-receive pressure and converted it into a lead they never surrendered.
• Second-set block: The hosts’ block began to dominate the centre of the net, turning several Alanya attacks into counter-attack opportunities and opening a decisive gap.
• Third-set finish: Alanya Bld stayed competitive deeper into the third set, but Fenerbahce’s serving and attacking efficiency in the final points closed the door on any comeback.

Tactical story

Fenerbahce’s serving strategy was central to the result. By targeting Alanya’s reception lines and mixing power with placement, the hosts prevented the visitors from running their preferred first-tempo attack consistently. That disruption allowed Fenerbahce’s block to set up earlier and gave the back-row defence clearer reads.

Alanya Bld showed resilience, particularly in the third set, when their outside hitters began to find better angles against the block. However, they struggled to sustain momentum from the service line and were often forced into high-risk attacks. Fenerbahce’s setter managed the match well, distributing across the net and keeping the middle attack involved whenever Alanya’s block drifted wide.

Standout performers

Fenerbahce’s opposite hitter delivered an important scoring outlet in the tight moments, while the middle blockers set the tone defensively with active hands at the net. The libero also played a key role in stabilising reception and extending rallies, allowing the hosts to convert defence into attack with minimal delay.

For Alanya Bld, the outside hitters carried much of the attacking load and produced several spirited points, but the team lacked the serving consistency needed to break Fenerbahce’s rhythm. Their libero was busy throughout and kept a number of difficult balls alive, underlining the pressure the hosts applied across all three sets.

Season impact

The straight-sets win gives Fenerbahce a valuable three-point haul and adds momentum to their Efeler Ligi campaign. With the standings beginning to take shape, victories of this kind — clean, controlled and without dropping a set — can prove important in the race for the top positions.

For Alanya Bld, the defeat is a reminder of the level required against the league’s stronger sides. Their third-set resistance offered encouragement, but they will need greater consistency in reception and serving to turn competitive spells into points on the board in upcoming fixtures.
