Triangle FC produced a disciplined and efficient performance to beat Simba Bhora 2-0 in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League on 25 October 2026. The home side scored in each half, defended resolutely and limited one of the league’s stronger teams to very few clear chances at Gibbo Stadium.

Match overview

Triangle FC took the lead midway through the first half and never looked back. Simba Bhora enjoyed periods of possession, especially after the break, but struggled to break down a compact and well-drilled home defence. Triangle added a second goal late in the second half to seal the victory and underline their ability to compete against the league’s leading sides.

The win is a statement result for Triangle FC and a frustrating one for Simba Bhora, who were unable to turn territorial control into meaningful opportunities. In a league where home form is often decisive, Triangle’s ability to take maximum points while keeping a clean sheet stands out.

• 58th minute: Triangle’s goalkeeper made a crucial save to preserve the lead as Simba Bhora pushed forward.
• 76th minute: Triangle FC doubled their advantage on the counter-attack, finishing clinically after a sweeping move.

Tactical story

Triangle FC set up with a compact defensive block and looked to spring forward quickly when they won possession. Their midfield stayed disciplined, closing the central spaces that Simba Bhora like to use, and the back four dealt well with crosses. The home side were happy to concede possession in harmless areas and then attack with purpose through the wide channels.

Simba Bhora moved the ball patiently but lacked penetration. Their midfielders often received the ball with their backs to goal, and the front line struggled to find space between Triangle’s defensive lines. When the visitors did create openings, the final pass was either delayed or inaccurate, allowing Triangle to recover.

Standout performers

Triangle FC’s goalkeeper was excellent, making a key second-half save and commanding his area confidently. The centre-backs were dominant in the air and composed on the ground, while the midfield worked tirelessly to protect the back line. Going forward, Triangle’s wide players were the main attacking threat, combining pace with intelligent movement.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Triangle FC’s position in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League and give them confidence for the fixtures ahead. Beating a side of Simba Bhora’s quality is a significant marker, especially with a clean sheet. For Simba Bhora, the defeat is a reminder that possession without penetration is rarely enough, and they will need to find more creativity in the final third.
