Uhamiaji FC 1-0 Raskazone FC: Late Goal Settles Tight Zanzibar Premier League Contest

Uhamiaji FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Raskazone FC in the Zanzibar Premier League on September 24, 2026. A single second-half goal proved enough to decide a match that was competitive from start to finish, giving Uhamiaji FC all three points and leaving Raskazone FC with a frustrating defeat.

The game was typical of the Zanzibar Premier League at its best: compact, physical and full of tactical discipline. Neither side gave away space easily, and for long periods the contest looked destined to finish level. But one moment of quality after the break settled the scoreline and tilted the points in Uhamiaji’s favour.

Match Overview

Final score: Uhamiaji FC 1-0 Raskazone FC
Competition: Zanzibar Premier League
Date: September 24, 2026

Uhamiaji FC began with intent, pressing high and trying to force mistakes in Raskazone’s defensive third. Raskazone FC responded by sitting deeper and looking to counter through the wings. The first half produced few clear chances, with both goalkeepers protected well by their back lines.

After the interval, the match opened up slightly. Uhamiaji FC increased the tempo, moved the ball quicker in midfield and began to find pockets of space between Raskazone’s midfield and defence. That pressure eventually told with the winning goal.

Key Moments

• First-half save: Raskazone’s goalkeeper reacted well to push away a low drive from the edge of the box.
• Uhamiaji’s winner: A well-worked move down the right ended with a composed finish inside the penalty area.
• Raskazone response: The visitors pushed more players forward and forced several late corners, but Uhamiaji’s defence stood firm.
• Game management: Uhamiaji kept the ball in the corners during the final minutes, denying Raskazone any rhythm for an equaliser.

Tactical Story

Uhamiaji FC’s 1-0 win was built on patience. They did not rush their attacks, instead circulating possession and waiting for Raskazone’s midfield to step out of position. Once the gap appeared, Uhamiaji attacked it directly. Their wingers stretched the pitch, while the central striker dropped in to link play and create space behind.

Raskazone FC defended in a compact block and looked dangerous on the break, but they struggled to sustain attacks. Their best moments came from set pieces, where their height caused problems. In open play, however, Uhamiaji’s midfield won the majority of second balls and controlled the rhythm of the game.

Standout Players

Uhamiaji’s match-winner showed excellent composure in the box, while their central midfielder dictated play with simple, effective passing. The goalkeeper also made a crucial late save to preserve the clean sheet. For Raskazone FC, the centre-back pairing was impressive for much of the night, and their goalkeeper kept the scoreline respectable with a series of stops.

What the Result Means

The three points lift Uhamiaji FC in the Zanzibar Premier League standings and strengthen their momentum in the early part of the season. A 1-0 home win is often the mark of a side capable of competing for a top-half finish or better. Raskazone FC, meanwhile, will feel they deserved more from a disciplined away performance, but they will take encouragement from their defensive organization. In a league where away points are precious, the margin between satisfaction and disappointment was one goal.
