Raskazone FC and Wembe FC shared the spoils on 28 October 2026, playing out a 0-0 draw in the Zanzibar Premier League. In a match where both sides showed flashes of quality in the attacking third, it was the goalkeepers and the defensive units who ultimately took the honours, ensuring the points were split.

Match overview

The contest kicked off under the floodlights at 21:00, and the opening exchanges suggested a lively evening was in store. Raskazone FC, playing at home, looked to impose themselves early with quick combination play in wide areas, while Wembe FC responded with a compact, counter-attacking approach.

Despite the energy on display, neither team was able to find the key to unlock the opposition defence. Chances came and went, but the final ball consistently eluded the forwards, and the goalkeepers were rarely tested by anything truly clear-cut.

Key moments

• Early home pressure: Raskazone FC pressed forward with intent, forcing corners and creating half-chances in the opening period.
• Wembe's counters: The visitors threatened on the break, using pace to stretch the home defence, though the final finish was lacking.
• Goalkeeping saves: Both shot-stoppers produced key stops to keep the match level as the contest opened up in the second half.
• Late drama averted: Raskazone pushed for a winner in the closing minutes, but Wembe stood firm to hold on to a point.

Tactical story

This was a game of two well-organised defensive structures. Raskazone FC controlled long spells of possession but struggled to convert territory into genuine opportunities, with Wembe FC dropping deep and defending the space in front of their back four diligently.

Wembe's counter-attacking plan nearly paid dividends on more than one occasion. When they won the ball back, they looked to release their wide forwards quickly, forcing Raskazone's defenders to retreat at pace. The hosts adapted by keeping their full-backs more conservative in the second half, a switch that helped reduce the number of dangerous breaks against them.

Standout performers

Both goalkeepers were central to the outcome. Wembe FC's number one produced a string of confident saves and commanded his box well under pressure, while his Raskazone counterpart dealt with the visitors' counters alertly and kept a clean sheet of his own.

In midfield, Raskazone's playmaker was the most creative presence on the pitch, recycling possession and trying to find the killer pass. For Wembe FC, the centre-back partnership was outstanding, reading the game well and making a series of important blocks.

League impact

A point apiece in the Zanzibar Premier League may not transform either side's season, but clean sheets away from home and at home are building blocks coaches value. Raskazone FC will be frustrated to have dominated possession without a goal, while Wembe FC will take encouragement from a disciplined defensive display.

Final score

Raskazone FC 0-0 Wembe FC — A goalless draw in the Zanzibar Premier League, with both defences and goalkeepers sharing the spotlight.
