Red Arrows FC (w) 5-0 National Assembly FC (w) — In a commanding display at the Zam WL, Red Arrows FC (w) produced a five-star performance to dismantle National Assembly FC (w) 5-0, signalling their intent in the Zambian Women’s League title race. The match, played on 30 September 2026, quickly turned into a one-sided affair as the hosts found their rhythm early and never let go.

Clinical Arrows Run Riot

From the first whistle, Red Arrows pressed high and forced National Assembly into a series of defensive errors. The opening goal arrived inside the first 15 minutes, setting the tone for a relentless attacking display. By half-time, the Arrows had already established a comfortable cushion, with their midfield dictating the tempo and their wingers stretching the opposition backline at will.

Key Moments That Shaped the Match

• Early breakthrough: A quick interchange on the right flank led to a low cross that was converted with clinical precision, giving the Arrows a lead they never looked like surrendering.
• Second goal before the break: A well-worked set-piece routine doubled the advantage, exposing National Assembly’s vulnerability from dead balls.
• Second-half blitz: Three further goals after the restart, including a stunning long-range strike and a composed penalty, completed the rout.
• Defensive solidity: The Arrows’ backline kept a clean sheet, limiting National Assembly to just a handful of half-chances.

Tactical Story: High Press and Quick Transitions

Red Arrows FC (w) lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3, pressing National Assembly’s build-up and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The front three interchanged constantly, dragging centre-backs out of position and creating space for late runs from midfield. National Assembly attempted to sit deep and counter, but their isolation of the lone striker made it easy for the Arrows to recycle possession and launch wave after wave of attacks.

Standout Players

The Arrows’ attacking trident was unplayable. The centre-forward bagged a brace and was a constant menace in the box, while the left winger tormented the right-back with direct running and delivered two assists. In midfield, the captain controlled the game with crisp passing and intelligent positioning, breaking up play and launching counters. National Assembly’s goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score from reaching double figures, but she was left exposed by her defence.

Season Impact and Table Context

This 5-0 victory boosts Red Arrows FC (w) goal difference significantly, a factor that could prove crucial in a tight Zam WL standings race. The three points keep them firmly in contention at the top of the table, while National Assembly FC (w) remain in search of consistency and will need to regroup quickly. For the Arrows, the performance sends a clear message to their title rivals: they are not just winning, they are dominating.

What’s Next

Red Arrows will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture, where another strong showing could cement their status as genuine title contenders. National Assembly FC (w) face a crucial period to address defensive frailties and rediscover their attacking threat before the gap to the top sides becomes too wide.
