Blue Raycon FC Women and Hallelujah Zebra Force Women played out a goalless 0-0 draw in the South Africa Women's League on 19 September 2026. It was a match defined by defensive organisation and goalkeeping quality, with both sides creating enough to win it but neither able to find the decisive finish.

Match Overview: A Point Apiece After a Tight Battle

The South Africa Women's League continues to grow in competitiveness, with clubs from across the country investing in stronger squads and better preparation. This 19:00 fixture pitted two teams with contrasting styles against each other: Blue Raycon FC Women favouring patient build-up and control, and Hallelujah Zebra Force Women relying on energy, pressing and quick breaks.

The result — a clean sheet for both teams — speaks to the quality of the defending on display, and in the context of the season, a point apiece may prove more valuable than it first appears.

Key Moments

• First half: Blue Raycon settled into possession quickly, moving the ball through midfield and looking to release their wide players into crossing positions.
• Zebra Force threat: The visitors' best moments came on the counter, with direct running forcing the home defence into a number of important interventions.
• Goalkeeping: Both goalkeepers were called into action, producing saves in one-on-one situations that kept the game level.
• Second half: The tempo increased as the game wore on, and space began to open up in midfield, but the final pass was repeatedly lacking.
• Late chances: Each side had a sight of goal in the closing minutes — a header from a corner and a shot from the edge of the box — but neither found the target.

Tactical Story

Blue Raycon FC Women dominated possession but struggled to break down a well-drilled defensive block. Their attacking patterns were neat, but the final third lacked the sharpness needed to convert territorial advantage into goals.

Hallelujah Zebra Force Women were disciplined and compact, defending in numbers and looking to spring forward quickly when they won the ball back. On another evening, that counter-attacking approach might have produced a winner; here, the final ball was just a fraction off.

Standout Performers

Both centre-back pairings delivered composed, physical performances, winning headers and covering space intelligently. In midfield, Blue Raycon's playmaker dictated the tempo of the match, while Zebra Force's most industrious midfielder covered an enormous amount of ground to disrupt the hosts' rhythm. The two goalkeepers deserve special mention for preserving their clean sheets.

Season Impact

A draw keeps both teams moving in the South Africa Women's League without either gaining a decisive advantage. For Blue Raycon FC Women, the challenge is turning possession into goals; for Hallelujah Zebra Force Women, the performance confirms that their defensive structure can compete with any side in the division. Both will feel this was a point gained rather than two dropped.
