Phong Phu Ha Nam Women produced one of the most emphatic results of the Women's National League season on 12 October 2026, crushing Ha Noi II Women 7-0 in a match that quickly turned into a demonstration of attacking football. The home side were sharper, faster and far more clinical from the opening whistle, and the final scoreline reflected a complete performance from back to front.

A ruthless first-half display

Phong Phu Ha Nam set the tone inside the first ten minutes, pressing high and forcing Ha Noi II Women into hurried clearances. The opening goal arrived when a quick turnover in midfield released the home side’s striker through the middle, and the finish was calm and precise. One became two shortly afterwards, as a flowing move down the right ended with a low cross that was converted from close range.

Ha Noi II Women tried to slow the game down and defend in numbers, but they struggled to keep possession under sustained pressure. Phong Phu Ha Nam’s midfielders pushed higher and higher, winning second balls and recycling attacks quickly. By the half-hour mark, the lead was three, and a fourth goal before the break effectively ended the contest as a competitive fixture.

Key moments that shaped the result

• Early opener: A high press forced a misplaced pass, and Phong Phu Ha Nam punished it immediately with a composed finish.
• Quick double: The second goal came from a wide overlap and a low cross, highlighting the home side’s dominance on the flanks.
• Third before the interval: A well-worked corner routine ended with a powerful header that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
• Second-half surge: Three more goals after the restart, including a late penalty, completed the rout.
• Clean sheet: The defence stayed focused despite the comfortable scoreline, limiting Ha Noi II to a handful of half-chances.

Tactical story

The match was a clear case of a high-pressing team overwhelming a deeper block. Phong Phu Ha Nam used a 4-3-3 shape that became almost a 2-3-5 in possession, with the full-backs pushing high and the wingers stretching the opposition defence. Ha Noi II Women sat in a compact 4-4-2, but once the first line of pressure was broken, they could not track the runners arriving from midfield.

What stood out most was the speed of Phong Phu Ha Nam’s ball circulation. They rarely took more than two touches before moving the ball into the next zone, and Ha Noi II’s back line was repeatedly pulled out of position. The visitors’ best spell came early in the second half, but even then they could not turn possession into a meaningful shot on target.

Standout players

The Phong Phu Ha Nam centre-forward was almost unplayable, completing a hat-trick and constantly creating space for others with intelligent movement. The attacking midfielder added two goals and controlled the tempo, while the right winger delivered a constant stream of dangerous crosses. In defence, the captain organised the back line well and ensured the clean sheet remained intact.

For Ha Noi II Women, the goalkeeper was far busier than she would have liked, making several saves to prevent the score from becoming even more one-sided. The midfield worked hard but was often overrun, and the lone striker had little support in the final third.

What it means for the Women's National League table

The three points and the seven-goal swing are significant for Phong Phu Ha Nam Women, who strengthen their position in the upper reaches of the Women's National League standings and give their goal difference a major boost. In a title race that could be decided by fine margins, a result like this is worth more than just one win. Ha Noi II Women, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly, particularly defensively, if they are to avoid similar scorelines later in the campaign.
