Phong Phu Ha Nam Women produced a thoroughly professional away performance in the Women's National League on Sunday, beating Ho Chi Minh City B Women 4-0 to claim all three points in convincing fashion. The visitors controlled the contest from the early stages, converting their superiority into goals at regular intervals and never allowing the home side to build any meaningful momentum.

Match Overview

The game followed a familiar pattern for the hosts: plenty of defensive work, limited possession, and pressure that eventually told. Ho Chi Minh City B Women began with a compact block, attempting to deny space between the lines, but Phong Phu Ha Nam's movement and quick ball circulation pulled that structure apart with increasing regularity as the first half progressed.

Once the opening goal arrived, the visitors visibly relaxed and began to express themselves, switching play from flank to flank and probing for gaps around the penalty area. The second goal before the interval gave them a cushion that reflected their control, and the second half became a matter of managing the game and adding gloss to the scoreline.

Key Moments

• First goal: A well-worked move down the left created space in the box, and the finish was emphatic.
• Second before half-time: Pressure from a corner led to a scrambled clearance that was punished from close range.
• Third after the break: A quick transition caught the home defence out of shape, with a composed finish past the goalkeeper.
• Fourth late on: Sustained possession ended with a strike from the edge of the area to complete the scoring.

Tactical Story

Phong Phu Ha Nam Women's greatest strength on the day was their control of midfield. Winning the second balls and pressing aggressively after losing possession, they denied Ho Chi Minh City B Women any chance to settle. Their full-backs advanced high, creating overloads in wide areas, and the forward line's intelligent movement consistently dragged defenders out of position.

The home side's game plan revolved around staying organised and hitting on the break, but with so little of the ball the forwards were starved of service. As the deficit grew, the block dropped deeper and the gaps between the lines widened, allowing the visitors to play through the middle with relative ease in the closing half hour.

Standout Performers

The Phong Phu Ha Nam midfield engine ran the game, linking defence to attack and covering ground tirelessly. Their attacking players shared the scoring burden, a sign of the depth and balance within the squad, while the back line and goalkeeper combined for a clean sheet that was barely troubled.

Ho Chi Minh City B Women will take some encouragement from the effort shown by their goalkeeper, who made a string of saves, and from the determination of a young side that kept competing until the final whistle despite the scoreline.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Phong Phu Ha Nam Women's position in the Women's National League table and add a healthy boost to their goal difference. For Ho Chi Minh City B Women, the focus shifts to defensive solidity and finding a way to keep possession under pressure — lessons that will be essential as the season progresses.
